Hello, I live in Ohio, and my fiance wanted to get married in Dec. this year and we are trying to find a good deal on at least a five night stay somewhere, warm. We are on a 3000 dollar budget. Voting Question: My Husband Never Does Anything I Want to Do?

My husband and I have been married for a little less than a year now, and he NEVER does anything I want to. I know that never is a strong word, but in this case it's true. He promises and promises that he will do something I want to, and at the last minute he guilt trips me so that we don't go. For example, we live right next to the beach. For a month or so, I have been asking if we can go. He kept saying he would take me, then he never does. Finally, I convinced him that we should go today and he promised all weekend that we would. When I tried to get him up this morning, he said "if it were really an issue of spending time together, you and I could just stay home and I wouldn't play my video games" when I looked disappointed he said "see, it has nothing to do with wanting to be with me...you just want to do something for yourself". I think that statement is really unfair because since we've been together we've always done what he wants to do when he wants to do it. We spend every day (even weekends) sitting at home in separate rooms...he plays video games ALL DAY with his friends and chats to them online while I sit in the other room and read or watch movies. If I make a friend and want to go somewhere with them, he gets all worked up and yells at me for not inviting him (even though if I do invite him he complains that he has to go and makes the whole evening so awkward that my friends don't want to talk to me anymore). I am going COMPLETELY crazy! I am a very active person, I LOVE being outside, and for the past year I haven't gotten to enjoy myself at all. When we were dating, we did things together all the time, so I am only expecting him to be the man I thought he was. I don't know what to do anymore. He refuses to make any concessions to me and just give me something that I want for once. I don't nag him about things, but if I ask him to do ANYTHING he says I am nagging...no matter how nicely I ask it. On our honeymoon, he spent the entire trip (we were in Aruba for crying out loud) sitting in our hotel room playing video games....he refused to even go down to the pool. I'm so sick of it, and now I AM turning into the stereotypical nagging wife because that's the only way I can get him to do something. I don't want to be this way...any advice on what I can do to get him to go places with me...even every once in a while? more

I met this travel agent several months ago after transporting her to a test in the hospital where I work and she gave me her information and all which I still have. Ok. Getting hitched, and me and my guy always go for the vacations that end up leaving you tired when you come home... backpacking in italy or gem mining or ust alot of planning involved in trips. My fiance and I are planning our honeymoon for September 19th-26th of 2010. We have been to Cancun together, Fort Lauderdale and San Diego. We love to travel. We LOVED Cancun. We spent out days laying on the beach and swimming in the ocean. We want to do exactly that on our honeymoon. Lay by a pool and beach...and be on a beach that is warm and swimmable. We would like some advenure....as we did do Isle Muerjas when we went to Cancun and loved that. But being September we don't want to have the possibility of having our trip ruined by a hurricane. So here are the places we have found as possibles. Cabo, Aruba, Costa Rica, Bonaire, or Curacao. We want to do an all inclusive....because we loved that in Cancun. We had thought about going to Aruba or Curacao for this reason, but is this going to be a problem? Also, we are looking at Cozumel Palace or Sabor by Wyndham for resorts. Anyone have personal experience with either of these? Any help is greatly appreciated!! more

Resolved Question: why would my friend say she wants to get married?

One of my friends constantly talks about wanting to marry her boyfriend, whom she's been in a relationship with for about 2 years. Problem is that I have long suspected that she cheats on him. These suspicions were confirmed recently, after finding out about her being intimate with one of our groomsman from our wedding (she was a bridesmaid), as well as a night before that she was intimate with another guy who was there for the wedding. *We were all in Las Vegas for 4 days for my destination wedding on the 17th of this month.* After I got home from my honeymoon in Aruba, I spoke with her on the phone. I didn't bring the cheating info up with her, but she yapped on and on about how our wedding made her picture what her's will be like with her boyfriend. Apparently, he even moved in with her the day she got back from Las Vegas! I don't think it's my place to tell him what I know (as well as a lot of us know), but I just can't believe she talks about wanting him to propose to her!! We are all in our 30's, so it's not like we're teenagers, but she's taking the beauty of marriage and spitting all over it, I feel. What should I do? If you were me, would you say something to her...like let her know of her bad behavior? Would you let her boyfriend know what's going on? *Her bf didn't come to Las Vegas, because he had to work. She kept saying that b/c he wasn't going to be there that "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas".EDIT: Sandy, I understand what you're saying. But...I know for a fact that they don't have any open relationship. When I was visiting her last Summer (she lives in a different state than me), she had one of her ex boyfriends over for drinks while I was there. He ended up staying the night with her. She said to me the next morning to not say anything to her current bf that he was even there. It put me in a really bad position, b/c then I had to see her kiss and hug her bf the next day, as if nothing had happened. more

These are our criteria: 1. Not a large chain (no Beaches, Sandals, Breezes, etc). 2. Beachfront property. We would like to be able to walk straight out of our room onto the sand. 3. Newer or remodeled property (no rust, cracks in the walls). 4. More adult than children oriented 5. All inclusive is a plus 6. Close to other restaurants or local shopping areas Some of the Islands that we are considering the most are Jamaica, Curacao, St Lucia, and Aruba. Thank you for your help! more
