Voting Question: The guy im seeing wants me to get an abortion?

Ok. Long story as short as I can make it: Me and this guy have been friends for about 3 years. Never really dated or did anything sexual. Just on the terms of literally best friends. We hung out almost everyday, movies, ate, mall.. whatever. He's 8 years older than me.(he's 33) I have a child from my previous relationship. He was always very yes and no about the whole kid thing (that's a reason why we never hooked up)..(another reason is bc he smoked weed A LOT, I didn't approve of it and didn't want my kid around it at all) Anyway as time went on he accepted the fact of my kid a little more.. warmed up to her, stopped smoking .. he still did it but only when we were around. all that. Resolved Question: I need a swimsuit fast!?

Ok, so in a few weeks I'm going to Aruba on vacation and I need a swimsuit. My mom's really particular about modesty AND I'm on a tight budget, so I'm having a hard time finding anything. My number one choice would be a tankini with a skirted bottom like this one (to expensive though) http://www.dillards.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=301&storeId=301&langId=-1&productId=502128769&linkshare=http://www.thefind.com/affiliate The skirt needs to be kinda long like this one not short like this one http://www.hapari.com/metro-sos-turquoise-trim-tankini.html# I would appreciate links to actual swimsuits rather than stores I can look through, although I'd rather that than nothing. I'm 14, 5'5'', tall and skinny, and tired of trying to find the "perfect" bathing suit. Thanks so much for any help you can give! more

Resolved Question: Where is a good tropical (warm) place to go on vacation that is for adults only that has gambling?

Dreaming of vacation ideas for a few years down the road. Would like to go to Jamaica, Mexico or anywhere warm and tropical. Thought about Aruba but was told to stay away from there. Does anyone know of any resorts that are for couples/adults only that have gambling? I love Vegas but tend to spend all time indoors at the casinos there. Would like some resort on the beach that has gambling available. Does such a place exist? more

Voting Question: Where should we go on Vacation?

Heres our situation. We are expecting a nice some of money, approx. $7000. We are using some of it to pay off student loans, but with the remainder we want to go on a nice vacation. We've gone to Aruba and Jamaica and although we loved Aruba and liked Jamaica, we are looking for something different. Can anybody give us any ideas? Europe, Asia, Africa, the South Pacific, and South America area all places we want to go so nowhere on the globe is off limits for us. This is probably a once in a life time vacation as we are just middle class and dont see many of these opportunities in the future. Where would you suggest? more

Resolved Question: Royal Caribbean vs Carnival?

My family of three has been on four cruises, all on Disney Cruise Line. I am planning another cruise for August of 2010. My daughter will be 10 at that time. We've done eastern and western caribbean, and this time, we wanted to try southern. We've done the research and have decided on sailing out of San Juan, PR, but there are two ships and we can't decide which we should choose. We were looking for people who have been on these cruises to get their honest opinion about their experiences... Carnival Victory- Ports seem ok, St. Thomas, Dominica, Barbados, St. Lucia, St Kitts, and St. Maarten. Nothing too exciting. Prices seem to be about $100 cheaper/person in all categories that RC. Royal Caribbean, Serenade of the Seas- Different ports depending on day of departure. (Curacao, Aruba, Dominica, St. Thomas vs Barbados, St Lucia, Antigua, St Maarten, St. Croix) Again, will probably be about $350 more no matter if we stay inside/balcony/oceanview... We are specifically looking for info regarding children's activities... are they open early or late, do they charge extra, any problems with them, any exceptionally fun activities... and also we were looking out for loopholes that you find out on board... extras like soda cards, is alcohol or bottled water overpriced, etc. We've been told that having been only on DCL that we have been spoiled, and that no cruise line can compare (i.e., free soda 24/7) I find that super hard to believe, I mean, it's a floating tiny hotel room with food. We can live without the monkeys made out of towels. :-) thanks for reading and we are looking forward to your responses. more

Resolved Question: Best island to visit in the Caribbean?

Flying from New Jersey. We like to relax more than doing excursions. Nice sandy beaches and clear water are a plus of course. We are adults without kids (late 20's, early 30's) so we're also looking for a nice nightlife (casinos, bars, etc). We've been to Aruba, Bahamas, Bermuda, and Cancun. Wondering where to go next and what time of year. We narrowed it down to: Barbados St. Lucia Turks & Caicos Virgin Islands Others... Thanks so much! more

Resolved Question: What is this disappearing rash?

I keep getting the weird migrating rash. My skin will itch in a spot, and when i start to scratch it, small bumps come up, similar to flea bites or big goosebumps. The "rash " will stay for a few hours, then disappear, but it always seems to reappear somewhere else on my body later or the next day. My husband and I considered it was our new laundry detergent, so we went back to our old detergent. I am concerned about going to the doctor, b/c half the time there is no "rash" there to see. It just pops up and then goes away. Is it stress hives? Or maybe ...(God forbid) I went to Aruba a month and a half ago...could i have a skin parasite???? more

Resolved Question: What should I get my family for Christmas?

I can't post too many more questions today, so I'm gonna fit all of them into one. Ok, so I need to get gifts for the following people: 4 sisters 2 brothers Before I get to the info about them, I need you to know that I can't buy them anything because I am currently broke, and that I can knit and crochet. Sister #1: She is 11 years old. She loves animals a lot. She is kinda into fashion, really into shoes. She dresses a little girly, but she can sometimes act a little tomboy-ish. Her favorite color is blue. Sister #2: She is 28 years old. She got married earlier this year. She likes to travel, and she has traveled to many places including Africa, Israel, Aruba, etc. She likes helping other people, and is a big time Christian. She is a very hard worker. I'm not sure if she likes to read... She doesn't watch that much TV, but I know she does watch Heroes and The Office. She dresses with style, but she isn't too girly. She is very funny, clever, and is a very good prankster. Sister #3: She works very hard. She likes watching movies and TV with her boyfriend. She likes clothes and fashion, but again is not too girly. Most of the time she isn't working she is in pajamas. She lived in Europe for some time. She is 24, btw. Sister #4: She is in her 20's. She likes to watch TV and movies. She is working very hard at college. I know she doesn't like to bake. But other than that, she is going to be a hard one to get things for, cause I don't know her that well. Brother #1: He is 21. He has a girlfriend. He likes watching tv and movies. He likes playing video games. He plays guitar, and he used to play piano. He likes music. He is pretty funny. Brother #2: He also got married recently. He is 27. He likes to travel a lot. He is very electronic savvy. He doesn't play any sports that I know of, but he does like to watch baseball. He is very goofy. He likes to go geocaching. I would appreciate any ideas you have! more

Resolved Question: Does Japan recognize foreign gay marriages?

according to this article, http://www.advocate.com/News/Daily_News/2009/03/27/Japan_OKs_Foreign_Marriages_for_Gay_Citizens/ The answer is yes. but according to wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Same-sex_marriage_in_Japan ........hard to say.............. it basically just says, "Japanese Justice Ministry announced plans to issue the necessary certificates" just announced PLANS.......so...have they done it yet? look on that wikipedia page....on the right-hand side of the page....... on that side-bar..... ..it lists all the places in the world where gay marriage is legal and under the category "RECOGNIZED, NOT PERFORMED" it lists: "Aruba, Israel, Netherlands Antilles, and the United States" Why isn't Japan on that list? Is there a way to edit that so that Japan is on that list? I know wikipedia has its flaws but 99% of the time it's generally known to be a valid source. What's up with this? more

Resolved Question: My Ex is still trying to control me and he is out of town. Help !?

My ex just went away to Aruba. A trip that had to be planned in advance because you have to take a plane and he had to make sure his time share was available. He did not tell me about this trip or when he was going. We have joint visitation and per our court order he had it listed that "each parent is allowed one vacation a year without our child," which I'm fine with. (not to mention he has already taken his 1 vacation this year and I choose not take mine without my child) When I emailed him to get it in writing about the dates of his trip, I remined him I was 9mths pregnant and I just need to put arrangements in place for our 8 year old in case I go into labor. Example: so she can be picked up from school. The day after Thanksgiving I sent this email with know response from him. I found out from my 8 year old when she said "Daddy is coming over to say goodbye." That he was going away that night and that she was going to go to his mothers to cover his visitation days. He never told me. His mother then tried to get out of watching her, which was know surprise, knowing her history. My 8 year old got extremly nervous and was afraid daddy was going to get mad. I was scared to keep her home because of how aggressive he is to me, but wanted to since I would rather have her with me all the and was relived when his mother declined to watch her. I figured that her father can't get mad at me now. My 8 year old knowing how her dad yells at me all the time, tried to avoid the future conflict and hid to call her Nana- then pleded to go over her house. In the end, I felt bad for my 8 year old and allowed her to sleepover her Nana's house, with the agreement it would be for one night. I just got a text message from her father demanding that our daughter stay at his mothers, that I am not to pick her up and that he already told me where she would be. - the problem started because he never told me He is in Aruba, out of state and I want to pick my child up and feel there is know reason for her to be at his mothers when I am perfectly capable of watching her and want to. If he had called me to tell me of his anticipated vacation I would have told him that I want to have her. He choose not to tell me. It seems like he was planning on leaving for his vacation without telling me and then remembered I was due to go into labor and he got nervous, probably figuring this would look good for me in court, if he left on his visitation days. Now I want to go pick her up tomorrow, but since I am afraid of him I am nervous for when he comes home that I am going to get yelled at or that I am going to get abusive text messages until he returns home. I am pushing 30 and am trying to work on sticking up for myself when it deals with him, but it is so tough when my 8 year old unintenionally gets put in the middle. What would you do ? more

Resolved Question: HELP! I've got 2 free plane tickets and want to plan a vacation, tropical and inexpensive, where would you go?

THIS IS A BIT LONG< READ ONLY IF YOU HAVE THE TIME TO HELP ME DECIDE: THANKS! First of all I don't want to sound like I am complaining here, just confused on where to go. I realize I am very lucky to have the tickets! The plane tickets are for anywhere in the U.S. plus Cancun, Bahamas, Jamaica, Puerto Rico and Aruba. Most of these places outside the U.S. would be too expensive though in terms of hotel and food for me right now for two people, so where else in the mainland U.S. could I visit that is somewhat near a nice beach, maybe some shells, and isn't too expensive for a hotel there and food? I only have about an extra 1,000 for a 3 day trip somewhere for the hotel and food and spending. All I want to do is spend some quality time with my husband and sit and watch the waves, drink a tropical drink at a tiki hut, swim in a huge pool and possibly take a boat out to a little island to find some shells. (Otherwise I also have free hotel rooms at any Harrah's hotel in the U.S. so I guess they have Harrah's in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, New Orleans, Phoenix, and other places more inland in the U.S. That would be very cheap then since I would then have free air and hotel, but none of those places is really that tropical!) I could also choose to fly to New Orleans or Miami and try a 4 day cruise. Upside of that: fairly cheap and could see Key West AND Mexico ! And lots of food all included in the price Downside: I've never been on a cruise , sometimes there are hidden costs to consider, tipping, extra excursion, etc. and I wouldn't get into the pool with tons of people, no privacy, and could seem like I'm stuck on a boat with a bunch of drunks since I heard the 4 days cruises are "party cruises". Again see I'm totally stuck on what to do and where to go with these tickets! Anyway if I don't do the Harrah's free hotel thing or the cruise then, I was thinking possibly Pensacola, Florida since it is supposed to be cheaper and they still offer the touristy things to do there, but not sure if that might be too boring. Do you have other ideas that could work? I wouldn't mind using the free tickets to California but then the hotel prices are just too high. And Virginia Beach is supposed to be nice but I'm not sure if it is expensive to visit and I know it won't be as tropical as Florida or Cancun of course since there will doubtfully be tiki huts and tropical drinks/ not sure though? Also lots and lots of people say go to Cancun but I worry about a few things: crime to and from the hotels, crime at the hotels, crime going to dinner in the cities and I'd hate to see children begging on the beach on my vacation or stray dogs starving to death running down the beaches. If you've gone there, is that what you've encountered ever? Some previous yahoo people said that was what it was like, not fun for a vacation then. Someone recommended a place calledCancun Palace (p.s. my research shows: Le Blanc in Cancun looks amazing if you have more money than me for the trip!), someone else said Myrtle Beach, others Key West? Has anyone been to Key West lately, do you have any quiet beaches or are they all packed with crazy tourists? If I can't come up with a trip that my husband would also like, then he said I should just use one of the tickets to fly to my niece's wedding in Minneapolis and wait for the other ticket for something else ....BORING use of the 2 tickets I say, and then I might never go on the somewhat more "romantic" and "relaxing" trip with my husband. I think I'd rather just pay for the wedding ticket for myself separately.Sooooo ...... if you could go anywhere, where would you fly for a fairly inexpensive vacation with my 2 free tickets? I'm totally stumped on what to do and where to go! Thanks for any input!TRVLLADY- THANKS, my husband just said the same thing, make a list to help decide....so your advice was right on target since I am stuck. And I will look into Virginia Beach more extensively then as well! more

Resolved Question: What do I do about my so called "Best Friend?"?

I've been best friends with a girl I met the very DAY she moved here in sixth grade. We are now seniors in high school. Last year, she started hanging out with this boy that I didn't like. He's an asshole. He was very rude to all of her friends, including me. Since she started going out with him, she hasn't paid attention to any of her other friends. She's become a very rude and "fake" person. She spends all her time with him, and thus no time with any of the old friends we used to hang out with. When she got a new phone, she didn't even put my number in it, and didn't ask for it. I found out because I texted her and she answered with "Who is this?" It made me mad, because I've had the same phone number since 8th grade, and she should know it. It bothers me that she didn't care enough to even ask for it. She is supposed to come to Aruba with me at the end of the year, and I don't want her to come. My family paid for her $600 plane ticket to go, because she claimed she had to save for a new car and thus, couldn't go with me. 3 weeks after we paid for her ticket, she bought a new car. I want to tell my mom that I'd rather bring someone else, but she thinks that this girl is the epicenter and amazingness and can do no wrong. She always yells at me because I don't spend time with this girl, but the way I look at it is if she doesn't want anything to do with me, then why should I strive to hang out with her? I cannot talk to her because I can't get her away from her douchebag of a boyfriend. And my mom won't listed if I try to explain, because to her, I'm the one not trying. What should I do? more

Resolved Question: Getting to the Natural Pool?

My husband and I (early 30's) are heading to Aruba this month for a week and will be staying at the Marriott Surf Club. I read mixed reviews about getting to the Natural Pool: hike vs ATV vs horseback riding vs jeep (on your own vs tour). Can anyone provide us with any insights about these options? This is the first time for the both of us. Any other attractions you think would be worth visiting? more

Resolved Question: I have abnormal diarrhea with mucus?

For the past 5 days I have had diarrhea. Its not like normal diarrhea, rather mostly tanish pink mucus. It is circular and most of it floats. There is also very little urgency other than the intense cramping that occurs right before. I cant eat anything without having cramping and diarrhea with in ten minutes of eating. Occasionally in between the mucus there will be a more normal diarrhea but never a solid bowel movement. No fever, no vomiting, no change in diet. I have had diarrhea on and off for the past month since i got home from Aruba. And I had diarrhea the whole time I was in Aruba. That diarrhea was more "normal" diarrhea. I am just concerned this might be something more than a normal illness. more

Voting Question: How can i get her back????????????????? 10 points!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

so at the end of 7th grade, i started to like a girl named mel and i didnt know that at that time she liked me back. so we were flirting the whole summer and when i came back to my town (cuz i was at my grandparents house for like a month) we hung out at my house and kissed eachother a couple of times. I was gonna make out with her but when i leaned in her cell phone went off and she had to go. i asked her if we were going out and she said that she didnt want a boyfriend in the summer. okay so i left it at that. when school starts i ask her out and she says that now she wants to be friends only even though she was crazy about me the day before i asked her out. The main reason why she said no was b/c she liked somebody else and i felt like sht afterwards. shes really really nice and funny and cute overall and i think im in love. so anyways there going out for about 2 weeks now and yesterday at a party i was at. she h/u with him right in front of like 30 people on the couch for a straight 5 minutes which disguisted me and i felt heartbroken. now shes going to aruba for 2 weeks and i miss her like crazy yet i dont know what to do. How can i get her back. her present bf treats her like shi.t and yet she always cries to me on how much she wants a boyfriend that cares about her when i could be that person. i love her so much and i want her back. i cant stop thinking about her. WHAT DO I DO? also: we talk on a daily basis and shes really understanding. we dont flirt anymore and i dont even try to flirt and were keeping our relationship at a friendly level but i want to prove to her that i could be the best thing that ever happened to her more

Resolved Question: Aruba to Philippines?

My fiance is moving from Aruba (where he was living under a work permit) back to the Philippines. We are aware that he can not stop over in the US along the way because he doesnt have a US visa and they dont issue travel visas in short period of times anymore due to 9/11. I found a flight that stops in Punta Cana, then Amsterdam, then Manila. Will he be OK to travel to those destinations with just his Philippines Visa? more

Resolved Question: How's life in Aruba, should I move?

Hey, first time here.. I'm from Venezuela but currently studying in miami to earn my degree on hospitality management in hotel and tourism... I want to live in Aruba hopefully after going to graduate school or right after graduating, which is in two years. I know that being from Venezuela without a visa I can stay up to three months; however I wanted to know all the legal stuff in order to work and live there, and if somebody can provide information about the life in Aruba it would be great!.. Oh! and I wanted to point out that I go every year to Aruba and stay at Costa Linda. I know the basics of Aruba but would like more information.. Thanks to everyone!! Ana more

I will be traveling on a Caribbean cruise and wonder if (USA) passports will still be stamped by the foreign officials. Several in our group are first time travelers and are hoping to get souvenier passport stamps from all of the island nations. I have head a number of countries no longer stamp passports or only stamp the on request. Some of the countries are: St. Croix, U.S.V.I., Basseterre, St. Kitts, Dominica, St. Lucia, Barbados, Grenada, Curacao, Aruba Any helpful info will be appreciated. Thanks.OK, maybe I should have asked : IS THERE ANY WAY POSSIBLE to get a US passport stamped (for a souvenier) in places where they do not "normally" stamp it? more

Resolved Question: I need ideas for a payback prank?

My husband and I were married in Aruba in March, 09 and 40 of our friends joined us for all the festivities. Our friends arrived home before we did and someone got the bright idea to tastefully "trash" our house (all in good fun) From unscrewing all the lights in the house to saran wrapping the toilets....We know everyone was in on it and told them one by one we would get them ALL back, well its pay back time and I need some ideas. I want to do something different, like waking up to 1000 easter eggs in the yard.....any ideas? Thanks in advance more

Voting Question: Cannot view pictures/video on a disc? [PLEASE HELP!]?

I recently went scuba diving and the instructor took pictures/videos of the entire trip (at "Mi Dushi" in aruba, if you're wondering). At the end, they showed my group some of the pictures and then offered a copy of that disc for 30 bucks, which was delivered to your hotel room the next day. I bought it, since it was my first time scuba diving and all. Well, I just got home and I tried viewing the stuff on the CD but it didn't auto-start. When I try to go to the auto-start for the CD-ROM and press auto-play, nothing happens / comes up when I click on the CD-ROM icon. There's evidence that there's something burned ON the disc since it has a ring around the middle, but I can't view it on anything [DVD player, computer, xbox]! Am I doing something wrong or did I just get totally ripped off? ): Thanks! PS. I have Windows Vista. Is it possible that maybe the disc is not compatable with Vista or something? /: more

Resolved Question: Which cruise do you personally think is better and why?

I have two cruises in mind, both of which leave the same day (April 9th, 2010) and from the same port. I have never been on either of these. My bf and I would be going. We're both 24 and have only been on one cruise, which was Carnival for 7 days and we LOVED it. We will be going to relax and have a great time and memorable vacation. We're not really into partying too much, so the "clubs" on the ship dont really matter. Out of these two cruises, which has better service, better food, better entertainment, and a younger crowd (as in not 55+). Any suggestions would be great! Resolved Question: Parents love my boyfriend, but aren't budging about marriage. What do I do?

My boyfriend and I have been together for two years now. EVERYONE loves him, he is honestly the greatest guy I could have asked for, and my parents approve. However, they keep saying subtle things about getting married. Like; my newborn niece can be my flower girl, ill be done with college, etc....I know they don't want me to get married soon, but we want to. I've known he's the one since I met him. We recently took a trip to Aruba as a family and he borrowed some money from my parents to buy me an engagement ring for "down the road"(or at least thats what he told them). I want to get married this upcoming July, which means we have to get engaged within the next few months. Is there a way that I could talk my parents into supporting our wedding? How do I let them know that this is our decision, and this is one thing that they cannot control in my life? Also, they paid for half of my brothers wedding (he was 20 at the time). My mother was 22 when she got married to my father. I will be 19 by the time of the wedding, and my boyfriend will be 22. How do I bring up the fact that they supported my brother, and they aren't supporting me? I hope someone can help me! This is an awful situation to be in!**My boyfriend borrowed the money because we were in aruba, he didn't have his card on him. He paid them back two weeks after we returned home. We also don't want to move in together until we are married.** more

Resolved Question: Why do people like going to Jamaica?

I just returned from my second trip- My first trip I took I elected to take, this second trip was for a wedding. Both times I was in Negril. All I can say is that the locals do not leave you alone for a minute- From the moment you step off the plane you have to put up with people grabbing your bags without permission and carrying them out to the bus area where they demand 10 bucks and threaten not to give you your bag back if you refuse. Then, while laying on the beach it is a constant flood of locals accosting you for money, or rousting you out of a relaxed state to hand you a flyer...Just when you get back to relaxing another local will appear with a loudspeaker advertising a concert later in the night- And the thing is, if you are nice and just say "sorry," or "not interested," when they approach you, they will not take no for an answer. 9 times out of 10 they will make a scene ultimately screaming at you and telling you to never come back to Jamaica. It's like walking through skid row- There is no peace and it's horrifying. Why would anyone put up with it? I have also been to Aruba, Antigua, and St Barts...Have NEVER experienced the aggressive panhandling like you get in Jamaica. What a dump!Just a quick post script to "Ryan" down there...Jamaica is not themost visited destination in the Caribbean- It was in the 1970's...Now it is not even in the top 10- Check your facts there genius- I imagine the reason why is because the hassle factor is just too high. No one wants to be hassled virtually every minute of their trip- Plus the Robbery rate is through the roof, and the murder rate is the hishest in the Caribbean. more

Resolved Question: What is the best location for family tropical vacation?

We want to take a vacation either to Hawaii, Grand Cayman, Dominican Republic or Aruba. Which one is the best for family fun also best travel wise, as far as expense and distance. Do you need a passport for all except Hawaii? We do already have a time share so we would not need to worry abourt lodging. Thanks! more

Resolved Question: How in the world do you decide which island to visit in the Caribbean?

Honestly now LOL how in the world do you decide which island to visit?? Ahhhh, I'm making myself crazy with looking for destinations down there. We plan on going for about 7 days and the whole time I literally want to go-go-go. I do not want to relax as crazy as that sounds!! I just want to experience everything there is to offer. Come on now, all these places and I have no idea!! I definitely want to swim with dolphins, see waterfalls/nature, maybe snorkel, see volcanoes (if the picked island has them) rain forests. I do not care about being relaxed, clubs, drinking, gambling. Just experience mother nature in all her beauty!! Also, I'd really rather NOT be stuck on just one island, maybe island hop or whatever if it's not too expensive. Anguilla Antigua and Barbuda Aruba Bahamas Barbados Bonaire British Virgin Islands Cayman Islands Curacao Dominica Dominican Republic Grenada Guadeloupe Haiti Jamaica Martinique Montserrat Puerto Rico Saba St. Barthelemy - St. Barths St. Eustatius St. Kitts and Nevis St. Lucia St. Maarten St. Martin St. Vincent and Grenadines Trinidad and Tobago Turks and Caicos US Virgin IslandsI think I'm sold Sergio LOL!! I googled it and it sounds like just what I want YEA!! more

Resolved Question: What to do with a 9 hr connection in Aruba?

We are going from Curacao to JFK New York via Aruba next week and our wait time for our next flight is around 9 hrs. I estimate it takes an hour to get out of immigration, and you must be there 2 hrs prior to departure for New York, so that gives 6 hours of free time. During those 6 hours I planned to go out and explore Oranjestad, but I had a few questions about this "City" 1. Is it safe? 2. How far is it from the airport? 3. How much to cabs charge to go there? If you have any other recommendations on where to go, please do tell, just make it logical (for example, let it not be more than a 20 min. drive, we don't want to miss our flight). Thanks for the advice, and I ALWAYS CHOOSE BEST ANSWER! more

Resolved Question: Is a 2 hr "Connection" in Aruba enough?

I'm going to Curacao tomorrow via Aruba. I booked my flights from JFK-Aruba and from Aruba-Curacao, therefore it's not necessarily a true connection. This means we must exit through Aruban customs, pick up, and re-check the bags with Tiara Air from Jetblue within around an hour and 55 minutes. Is this enough time? Since this is not a connecting flight, I suspect if we miss our Tiara Air flight, it's our problem. Is this enough time, should I worry? more

Resolved Question: Where should I go on vacation? Maldives, Bali, Bora Bora, Cook Islands, etc? Please Help! :)?

Here are our must haves: 1) Warm water is a must. Warm like the Caribbean (Aruba, Bonaire), not cooler like Hawaii 2) My husband and I want to go somewhere new. We have been all over the Caribbean, Hawaii, Mexico, Europe, and North Asia (Hong Kong, Taipei, Korea) 3) Beach access to good snorkeling and/or scuba diving. Boat diving is fine, but we are not looking for a seven day scuba dive boat trip. We have no children, so no children requirements. We also can go anytime in 2010, so please also suggest a good time when to go (best weather, warm, etc). E.g. I read that Maldives is great in Feb,Mar,Apr. I have been thinking about Maldives, Bali, Bora Bora, or Cook Islands, but everywhere looks soooo beautiful. We (my husband and I) are open to suggestions for somewhere beautiful. Thanks everyone. We are also looking to go for 12-16 days. We also LOVE having the option to visit two places. For example, for our 16 day honeymoon we visited two Caribbean islands, Aruba and Bonaire. I really enjoyed seeing two places (our main objective then was scuba diving, which was excellent in Bonaire). Thanks! more

Resolved Question: Need an Aruban Private Tour guide?

Ok so here is the deal Me and my friend need to make some money. We are both 16. We where thinking, No place on Aruba offers private tour guides. So we might get some people. We ask 70 US $ per day. But you guys need to rent a offroad vehicle. We dont have lisence. So you guys need to drive. The advantage will be that. We can take you Jeep Tours or out tours would never take you. Cause it's either "too far" or just "small things" that dont take up a lot of time. For example Caves, Offroading on some roads other tourists never take, I can even take you to the Fosfaat mine, but we can't go down. Just a bunch of places other tourist will NEVER GO.
