Okay, this is the freaking final straw. One of my best friends is name Kyle, and he has two other Best Friends. Their names are Kiery and Nate. Kiery and Nate have known them longer than I have, since they've been best friends for a while, but Nate has always been a little closer. I also became really good friends with Nate, and friends with Kiery since I became friends with Kyle. I have been best friends with Kyle for about 20 months. The thing is with Kyle.. - I'll send him a text. 85% of the time, he ignores it and thinks he'll reply later. He forgets about it. - He doesn't care about anybody's feelings. He doesn't do anything if I tell him something personal. I can't go to him to talk about how I feel about something (I have clinical depression). - He doesn't make an effort to hang out with me, and I'm usually the one to make him hang out. - He still think's I'm one of his best friends, but honestly, he's a shitty friend. - He constantly ditches me, or whenever I ask him to go somewhere, he sometimes forgets about it, and I end up not seeing him there. - He could hurt my feelings, and he won't even notice. He's oblivious to everything. He doesn't know when I feel sad, and he doesn't take anything seriously. He's mature, but I can't take him seriously for anything, or I can't rely on him. - He still thinks I'm one of his closest friends, but he doesn't notice that I get constantly pissed off at him, or it's as if it's not a big deal to him. So he went to Aruba for a week, and I said have fun and such. He comes back, and I've told him I've wanted to hang out with him. I'm usually not the person to be jealous. So he came back two days ago and he hasn't told me. I Facebook Chatted him today, and this is how it basically went: Me: Hey Kyle: hi. Me: What's up, how was Aruba?! Kyle: It was amazing. And nothing much. Me: Lucky! That's good you had fun, etc etc. Kyle: Gotta Go Kiery and Nate are going outside now, bye.. Me: Thanks. I don't mind if the three of them hang out with me, but he mentions it as if he's trying to make me jealous. ALSO, I've texted him and Nate to hang out before, and they said "yeah let's do something". After I called them twice, them agreeing on doing something with me, they ended up doing something themselves with them two lieing to behind my back. I found out, and told them I'm pissed off. They didn't say sorry. I shrugged it off. I feel like I'm their bitch. What do I do? I'm never an ass to anybody, I never will insult anybody in a serious way, and I never will make somebody mad on purpose, but this is the final straw. I don't know what to do. Every time this happens, I shrug it off, and I'll try not to be friends with them for a week, but it fails and I end up not being able to hold a grudge at all. Hi guys, I'm an Australian resident and passport holder and I've been to Canada 3 times and am in the early stages of planning another trip to Canada A couple of Canadian friends and i are planning on going to the Carribbean, That means i would be flying into Toronto on a non stop flight from Hong Kong spending approx 5 days for me to rest up, We would then be heading down to Aruba/Curacao for 2 weeks and i would then fly back into Canada and stay for approx another 5 days before beginning the LONG flight home to melbourne! So my question is will a normal tourist visa entitle me to leave Canada and re-enter within the 3 month period issued on those visas, Or should i apply for a multi entry visa? --I do it through deduction and logic: He is playing a trick (stephen), I think aliens, if they are a couple million years ahead of us, would have likely powered their civilization with all the energy they could ever want from fusion or sun(s) (one kilometer band around the earth of solar energy for one year, would be the equivalent of all the energy content in our oil reserves...thats our sun, can you figure out how much energy we could extract from an O star? Yea, thats right), extracted all the ore they could want from mining asteroids...and would likely have mapped and surveyed the entire galaxy (its only 100,000 light years accross)...and although that sounds big, think of it in terms of millions of years...its nothing...they likely mapped this planet as one suitable for life long ago, and if they would invade, they would likely invade one where the organisms on the planet were in the dinosaur era...By Hawking's own deduction, life might be average, if not plentiful, given the simple math and probability of 200 billion stars in our galaxy.....I think they know we are here, and since they have gone through a technological singularity ages ago, are likely huge brains that control various bodies, they may not even be from one dimention....They could very likely, if millions of years more advanced than us, use 'synth' humans to 'vacation' on our planet, without having to pillage and rape our resources...So one of them could be in its study, seeing other's thoughts and learning, its machines being powered by tiny fusion reactors on a ship and ore being extracted for various worlds through robots, and then go into a 'neural net' like avatar and control a human body and have a nice vacation in aruba... I think they probably know us way better than we know us, since they could simulate our brains on computers and know our in depth psychology better than we understand it. I think stphen hawking has reached this same conclusion, and he likely made the statement he made in order to give a meta-message to them: Hey alien buddy, mind helping us a little? I think stephen thinks their sneaky for not anouncing themselves, and wants them to help us out with the energy and resource problems, which he thinks are impending, and could lead to hardship on our planet..And the aliens, might not want to get involved--kind of the same reason we might not want to get involved in a dispute between two tribes in angola.....They do not want to get in a relationship with a primitive race, especially with one where the power is greatly tilted toward them...we are not their technological equals, and they will get into compromising and strange situations if they announce themselves to a race such as the human one. They have likely already calculated it. It sounds crazy, but its perfectly logical. Its either that, or intelligent life blows itself up...because just imagine us, in say, 5 million years...yea, I know crazy right? We would have very likely gone through many periods of civil strife and war, but eventually, either through bio-engineering or whatever, would have reached a stasis stage (if we survive, thats the premise for this whole thought experiment)...and there is no physical law or reason why we could not get all of our energy from fusion or the sun, and all of our ore from asteroids...we have seen what we can do with our CURRENT UNDERSTANDING: launch loop, space elevator anyone? we can currently build a ship that can reach 95% of the speed of light...solar sails? If we lasted 5 million years brother, we would have mapped the ENTIRE galaxy...its only 100,000 light years accross? we would have travelled it many many times and made a mental note --stored in a data bank which planets were fostering life....Im sure these aliens would have most likely seen our planet in the cretatious period! There is no need for them to invade! There are 100 billion stars in our galaxy! There are probably more habitable planets with stupid life on it than with 'slightly intelligent natives' on it! They have all the energy (stars) and ore (asteroids) and untouched biospheres (planets with stupid wildlife) they could ever wnat! And even if they do not, why would they invade NOW, and not a million years ago, when we were not here! No, I think they know very well we are here...why have we not heard anything? Well, let me put it this way, for most of human history...sorry, planetary history, we never used 'radio waves'...and in the future, we are very unlikely to use them either, just look at how fast our transition from analogue to digital took place in a decade in the US.....We will most likely be communicating with fiber optic/nanotech later in the 21st and thereafter....radio waves will be used less and less, until we use none...Its a fact, talk to any engineer who knows where communications are going.. So really, we are really looking for a 200 year window, where some civcivilization might be going through the same exact phase that we are going...how stupid is that! the universe is 15 billion years old!!!! That is why we have not heard anything. Everything we are looking at is either prehistoric, or incredibly advanced, what are the chances we are going to get a civ at our specific 200 year window of development... Why have they not contacted? I presume because they don't want to interfere (1) if they are really advanced as the type of civilization I suggested prior, and are waiting for some sort of opportune moment, and simply see us as a tourist destination---or they had a stephen hawking that told them what our stephen hawking is telling us...and stopped signaling thousands, millions of years ago, once they started to get cautious and thereafter advanced to greater technology...or, well, they blew themselves up. Those are the only options to me, in a universe that is billions of years old, and a galaxy that is relatively, just 100,000 liglight years across. I am sure a couple dozen races already know about us, and they either are just enjoying our planets resources by sneaking around like one of us, having a blast in aruba...or they are not interfering and only observing...No, I don't think they 'visit' earth in dish like ships and abduct people...they could very well just have gotten a sample of our blood, and either replicated it in a simulation, in something that could only be understood by us as a computer, or cloned the specimen without abduction....Furthermore, I think its a given they would have at least used an invisibility cloak.. we recently built an invisibility cloak for visible light! Sure, not fully developed...but in a 1000 years? are you F kidding me? We have a stealth bomber...just imagine what the hell we will be imagining thousands of years from now, not to mention a couple hundred or 50 years into the future....We could have very well cloaked a huge ship....they could very possibly be right ababove us...and we would never, ever know it... We have many neural prescepts that are quite animalistic and barbaric. And although useful for survival on lesser stages, such as when we were cavemen, these same instincts are quite detrimental when we are talking about nuclear weapons. I think genetic engineering and a technological/intelligence singularity, could very well create a race where any of these undesirable attributes to society and the individual would be wiped out, and due to the artificial intelligence explosion, could be harnessed to spread thousands of robots to harvest not only ore from asteroids, but to build any complex an alien brain might imagine... Everything could be powered by either the sun (look at space based solar power) or fusion....everything else would be a learning experience ....acheiving nirvana. I think this evolutionary track of alien..would most likely have satisfiedevery biological need, except curiosity...So I think conquering a planet would be anathema (we are talking about a civilization just 5 million years into the future of our current time....insignifcant, 15 billion years is the age of the universe) to a culture that could very well experience the earth indirectly through avatar sort of technology, the funcitonal equivalent if they had conquered it and experienced it themselves... and won't need to bother on energy or ore, because both of these are in plentiful supply both in stars and in asteroids... Voting Question: My Husband Never Does Anything I Want to Do?

My husband and I have been married for a little less than a year now, and he NEVER does anything I want to. I know that never is a strong word, but in this case it's true. He promises and promises that he will do something I want to, and at the last minute he guilt trips me so that we don't go. For example, we live right next to the beach. For a month or so, I have been asking if we can go. He kept saying he would take me, then he never does. Finally, I convinced him that we should go today and he promised all weekend that we would. When I tried to get him up this morning, he said "if it were really an issue of spending time together, you and I could just stay home and I wouldn't play my video games" when I looked disappointed he said "see, it has nothing to do with wanting to be with me...you just want to do something for yourself". I think that statement is really unfair because since we've been together we've always done what he wants to do when he wants to do it. We spend every day (even weekends) sitting at home in separate rooms...he plays video games ALL DAY with his friends and chats to them online while I sit in the other room and read or watch movies. If I make a friend and want to go somewhere with them, he gets all worked up and yells at me for not inviting him (even though if I do invite him he complains that he has to go and makes the whole evening so awkward that my friends don't want to talk to me anymore). I am going COMPLETELY crazy! I am a very active person, I LOVE being outside, and for the past year I haven't gotten to enjoy myself at all. When we were dating, we did things together all the time, so I am only expecting him to be the man I thought he was. I don't know what to do anymore. He refuses to make any concessions to me and just give me something that I want for once. I don't nag him about things, but if I ask him to do ANYTHING he says I am nagging...no matter how nicely I ask it. On our honeymoon, he spent the entire trip (we were in Aruba for crying out loud) sitting in our hotel room playing video games....he refused to even go down to the pool. I'm so sick of it, and now I AM turning into the stereotypical nagging wife because that's the only way I can get him to do something. I don't want to be this way...any advice on what I can do to get him to go places with me...even every once in a while? more

Voting Question: Burning in upper chest area?

Recently I lost a lot of hours at my work and I've been eating at home much more often. Before, I would eat lots of Wendy's, plenty of beef, plenty of chicken, lots of mexican food, pizza, you name it. On a daily basis... and NOW I constantly get burning, usually later in the day, nearly every day. I do drink a bit but definitely NOT as much as I used to. I keep taking antacids but they don't seem to work too much, maybe a little. I've also tried Zantac but I have to admit I didn't find that it worked either. My friend pointed out that sometimes "cheap alcohol" gives you heartburn. I am unsure if that is exactly waht I am getting, but I went to Aruba 9 months ago and that was the first time I noticed getting what I think is heartburn. Resolved Question: How can I make 3com wireless clients roam between WAP's without dropping packets?

I want clients on our 3com wireless network to be able to walk from one AP location to another, and 'roam/handoff' without losing a lot of packets or connectivity in general. Right now, when a client goes from one end of the building to another, they Disassociate from the WAP, re-authenticate to the new one (WPA handshake takes place each time), and meanwhile they lose a few seconds of connectivity. I've seen this done on Cisco and Aruba systems, but I don't know what to do with our 3com one. Running 3com wireless controller WX2200 WAP's are 8760's dumbed down firmware to 3150's. running WPA Tkip 802.1x/eap SSID same across all WAP's. Can't find much on 3com, their stuff mostly refers to having multiple WX controllers and roaming between them while keeping on the same subnet within the Vlan.Wireless Controller > 3com Switch on each floor > WAP's on each floor So each floor has a switch, which is connected to those respective switches on that floor. WAP's are stacked, so its possible that a client is connecting to a WAP on the floor below or above, depending on the other factors that the clients use to determine which WAP to connect to. Also, due to our CIO, all our AP's are on channel 6. I've been trying to get that changed... among other things. more

A friend of mine just got back from her vacation in Aruba. She got REALLY sunburned on her back and she wanted me to peel her back once it started to peel. I had done this numerous times to my mom after she would get sunburned when we would go to the beach so I agreed but wore gloves since I didn't feel comfortable touching someone else's dead skin. Anyway, as I peeled away both small and large patches of dead skin off her back she said as I peeled that it "felt good." And if so, what did you think of their beaches/ocean? I have been to Jamaica 2x and stayed in Ocho Rios and the ocean both times (once in Jan and another time at the end of March beg of April), the ocean was not blue, more of a brown/blue (a little muddy), definitely not clear. Water activities got canceled a few times. My girlfriend and her husband went to Montego Bay in Feb and the same thing happened to her. My cousin along with a bunch of other couples and myself and husband want to try Jamaica again (at the Secrets Wild Orchid resort, it's opening in March) because I've been elsewhere (Bahamas, Aruba and Mexico) and Jamaica is most fun and affordable for all. My family of three has been on four cruises, all on Disney Cruise Line. I am planning another cruise for August of 2010. My daughter will be 10 at that time. We've done eastern and western caribbean, and this time, we wanted to try southern. We've done the research and have decided on sailing out of San Juan, PR, but there are two ships and we can't decide which we should choose. We were looking for people who have been on these cruises to get their honest opinion about their experiences... Carnival Victory- Ports seem ok, St. Thomas, Dominica, Barbados, St. Lucia, St Kitts, and St. Maarten. Nothing too exciting. Prices seem to be about $100 cheaper/person in all categories that RC. Royal Caribbean, Serenade of the Seas- Different ports depending on day of departure. (Curacao, Aruba, Dominica, St. Thomas vs Barbados, St Lucia, Antigua, St Maarten, St. Croix) Again, will probably be about $350 more no matter if we stay inside/balcony/oceanview... We are specifically looking for info regarding children's activities... are they open early or late, do they charge extra, any problems with them, any exceptionally fun activities... and also we were looking out for loopholes that you find out on board... extras like soda cards, is alcohol or bottled water overpriced, etc. We've been told that having been only on DCL that we have been spoiled, and that no cruise line can compare (i.e., free soda 24/7) I find that super hard to believe, I mean, it's a floating tiny hotel room with food.
