We are open to almost anything we just don't really know where to start. We would like the island to be accessible from the US pretty easily, and have good hotels to stay at. We would also like a low crime rate and minimal crowds. Price doesn't matter, we were just wondering if anyone has been to any of these islands and has any personal recommendations on where to stay. Resolved Question: Aruba Travel: hotel recommendations, scuba dive shop, etc.?

Hi. I am off to Aruba in teh first week of October. I intend to scuba alot. Looking for a good hotel on the beach if possible. I saw rates of $112 at Aruba Resort Spa And Casino and $105 at Divi Dutch Village. Which would be a better hotel to stay at. I want the beach/pool for my wife who won't dive. But we want to eat in the city... I hear the restaurants in the city are great. So which is closer? Should I rent a car, or can I do without one? Anyone know a good Scuba Dive shop in Aruba? more
