Aruba Honeymoons Questions asked

Resolved Question: What questions should I ask a travel agent?

My girlfriend and I are getting married in Oct. this year and are planning our honeymoon to go to Aruba. I met this travel agent several months ago after transporting her to a test in the hospital where I work and she gave me her information and all which I still have. So her recommendation was Aruba since it's off the hurricane belt. We want an "all inclusive" package. Want sort of questions should I ask her when I call her? Would it be indecent to ask her for a little discount since I sort of took care of her? I'm only asking for suggestions since I, evidently, never dealt with travel planning and such. more

Resolved Question: A few baby name questions?

1.When you're 24 you get married. While on your honeymoon in Aruba, you get pregnant. You find out you're pregnant with twin girls! What do you name them? 2.When the twins are 4 you get pregnant again, this time with a girl. What do you name her? 3.When the twins are 7 and your other daughter is 3, you try to conceive again, but have a miscarriage. You go to the doctor, just to find out that you aren't able to get pregnant again, but you feel your family still isn't complete, so you decide to adopt. How many kids, of what gender, at what age, and from what country do you adopt from? 4.Now the twins are older and it is time for them to have grandchildren. One of them gets married and pregnant at age 23 with quadruplets. (2 boys and 2 girls) What are their names and which twin is their mother? 5. The other twin gets pregnant at age 24 with a boy, then at age 25 with boy/girl twins. What are each of their names and who is their mother? My Answers: 1. Peyton Marie and Rebecca Grace 2. Elena Abigail 3. 1 boy and 1 girl from the USA at age 3. Named Cassandra (Cassie) Lynne and Mason Cole. 4. Rebecca is the mother of Ethan Alexander, Aiden Zachary, Jordan Paige, and Marina Claire. 5. Peyton is the mother of Logan Tyler and Tara Marie. **Please, please, please don't delete this question!!!!** Have fun!! : ) more

Resolved Question: Need help!! Planning honeymoon, but where to go? Give me your feedback and experiences please!!!?

Ok. Getting hitched, and me and my guy always go for the vacations that end up leaving you tired when you come home... backpacking in italy or gem mining or ust alot of planning involved in trips. So we figured we were going to do a beach nearish us. We are in Pittsburgh Pa... we were thinking like Aruba or St Lucia or st Martin or any of the beaches near florida or around that area. I have googled All inclusive vacations, but they seem very pricey... Are the worth it?? Does anyone have any experience anywhere that they can share? Or should we do our own thing or rent a villa. We like the idea of not having to worry about anything, but if you go that route which all inclusive do you choose? Is there a little island gem that we are missing!? Need help please!!!!! Give me any feedback you have on your own experiences or things you may have heard including-- which islands are awesome... where to stay... what to do... where to eat... all that jazz!!! Hit me up cause we are in need!!!!! THANKS! more

Voting Question: Honeymoon this September?

My fiance and I are planning our honeymoon for September 19th-26th of 2010. We have been to Cancun together, Fort Lauderdale and San Diego. We love to travel. We LOVED Cancun. We spent out days laying on the beach and swimming in the ocean. We want to do exactly that on our honeymoon. Lay by a pool and beach...and be on a beach that is warm and swimmable. We would like some advenure....as we did do Isle Muerjas when we went to Cancun and loved that. But being September we don't want to have the possibility of having our trip ruined by a hurricane. So here are the places we have found as possibles. Cabo, Aruba, Costa Rica, Bonaire, or Curacao. We want to do an all inclusive....because we loved that in Cancun. The only problem is we have no experience with any of this locales. Please help! If can choose a location and suggest a hotel...that would be great! Thanks! more

We like water sports such as scuba diving, white water rafting, surfing along with some hiking and things to do, but at the same time want to relax as this is our honeymoon and want to feel alone. Basically the best of both worlds. more

Resolved Question: Should I stay or leave after the reception?

The reception will end around 11-11:30. Should we leave around then? Who collects the centerpieces (they aren't ones that we're giving away since part of them we're just borrowing from the venue) and who collects any gifts/the card box? The MoH? Or do we just take them? I imagine it would look strange with us grabbing our gifts/cards and leaving the reception. haha So then does the MOH just told on to them over night? We aren't leaving for our honeymoon that night and possibly not even the next day because we're going to Aruba and I'm sure flights don't leave every day for there. So help with the confusion of when we should leave and do we or the MoH hold on to centerpieces, gifts, cards over night? more

Resolved Question: From personal experience, What is your feedback on Aruba? And What Coast of Aruba do you recommend?

We are the ones that asked about planning a honeymoon in August (hurricane season) at one of the Caribbean Islands but my fiance is scared to travel to Anguilla, St Marten, Cayman Islands etc... So, we wanted info on how Aruba (being that it's below the Hurricane belt) compares to some of these islands. Beaches, Nightlife, Prices... more

Resolved Question: Revise and punctuate this brief essay?

A small vessel carrying nine passengers was approaching a deserted island. Linda, a mother, was once a teacher until she married and had a baby, Kyle. She is a pleasant woman who enjoys making new friends. Normally, she would love this trip, but her marriage counselor insisted on it. However, the marriage counselor did not know that the ship would sink, forcing Linda and the other 8 passengers to decide which 5 of them should go in the lifeboat. She was chosen because she had a family and so she could take care of Kyle. Kyle loves receiving lots of affection from his parents. It makes him smile and makes him happy. But now, everyone around him was in a panic. He became worried. His parents tried to soothe him, but he knew something was wrong. Joseph, husband of Judy, is a doctor. Although he was diagnosed with ADHD at an early age, he has saved hundreds of lives. He has a friendly attitude, and cooperates with others well. Joseph met Judy through an online dating service. This was supposed to be their first honeymoon. Gordon, a chef and the father of Kyle, was the next one to get on the raft. He was a TV star, since he had his own show. His attitude and personality is akin to Simon Cowell’s. His marriage counselor recommended the trip, but he had to miss a very important business meeting to go. If it wasn’t for his cooking skills, he would be on the sinking ship. Judy is a lawyer and Joseph’s wife. She was the last occupant chosen to be on the lifeboat because she was the only one with a cell phone. She called 911 before the raft entered a dead zone. She notified the operator of their current location, off the coast of Aruba. They came as soon as they could, and rescued the policeman, priest, teacher, and professional athlete who were still on the sinking ship. After they got back to land safely, the helicopter came for them. Judy was their hero. more

Resolved Question: Which is better to Honeymoon: Aruba or Jamaica?

There seems to be more attractions in Jamaica...which is better for honeymooners?? more

Resolved Question: Honeymoon Help! Can someone tell me a bit more or offer me some advice on where to honeymoon in July?

I am planning a honeymoon for July. I am stuck between Aruba, Key West Florida, California, or Jamaica. Basically I don't want to go anywhere that is 150 degrees, being that it's July. I want some stuff to do (nothing crazy, but i dont want to be bored or lay on the beach EVERY day). I want nice warm water. I want a nice room and I am leaning more towards all inclusive. I don't want to be on a plane for 5-6 hours either. I'd be flying out of Newark or Philly. Any recommendations, resorts you've been at that are reasonably priced!? more

Resolved Question: How is the sand in Aruba (vs. Tahiti, Fiji)?

My fiancee prefers the really fine, soft sand. We've heard Fiji's sand is more rough, while Tahiti's is softer. We kind of got carried away last night and booked Aruba for our honeymoon, but now she's having second thoughts because we hardly know anything about it. So if you've been to Aruba, can you describe how the sand is there? And if you've been to any of the other places as well, can you rank their sand in order of softness? more

Resolved Question: Honeymoon in Aruba...October?

Resolved Question: I am trying to decide between the Manchebo Bay and the Bucuti Resort for my honeymoon (in Aruba).?

I understand that neither are 5 star resorts, but I'd like to know which one you think is the most luxurious and which one has the best facilities. I'd appreciate input from anyone that has seen both. I have already checked out the reviews on trip adviser and the reviews for both of them seem to be about the same. Thank you!As I stated in the question...I already read all the reviews. So copying and pasting reviews or telling me to go to trip adviser is not helpful. I want feedback from people that have actually been there and can address my specific questions! more

Resolved Question: What hotel should I stay at for my honeymoon to Aruba?

My fiancee and I are planning our honeymoon towards the end of October this year to Aruba. I've been looking through many posts on yahoo answers, tripadvisor.com, and even talked to a few people. I really just wanted to find some good advice about what hotel would be the best for what we are looking for... We aren't really big into the gambling aspects and hear the beaches are better and more quiet and romantic at Eagle rather than Palm, so we were kind of leaning towards a hotel on the Eagle beach. We don't really want something that's going to cost us an arm and a leg but we want something semi nice still. Wasn't sure either if all inclusive would be the way to go or not. Some of the places like Bucuti beach doesn't offer that and didn't know if we should look for ones that do or if the cost would still even out even if we eat out. How expensive is it to eat out all the time there? I know we wanted to go out and eat a few times at least when we are there so I wasn't sure what I should expect price-wise. Just wanted to see if anyone had some tips and advice for where we should stay, thank you! more

Resolved Question: Which Caribbean honeymoon spot would you suggest out of these choices?

Here are my choices: St. Thomas/Aruba//Barbados/St. Martin/Cayman Islands. I am going next January. I am looking for nice beaches, fun activities, nightlife, and safety. Thanks for your help, it is very appreciated! more

Resolved Question: I will be honeymooning in Aruba this summer, should I take a day trip to Caracas?

I don't know a ton about the city but I think it would be neat to see South America. I've read some reports however about it being fairly dangerous there. Any thoughts/experiences to share? I am a well-seasoned traveler but I'm not so sure about my fiancee. Thanks for your help! more

Resolved Question: Honeymoon options - help me pick!?

My fiance and I are tying the know on June 20th. I will only have about a week of vacation time off work for the honeymoon itself. We have discussed waiting until June 29th to take our honeymoon. Then we would only be gone until July 3rd and we wouldnt pay the high prices for Independance Day travel plus we could spend a few days at home by ourselves afterwards. However, leaving on June 21st isnt out of the question either. Here are several vacations that we both would like to take: Las Vegas (Bellagio) 3 Day Norweigan cruise (balcony room) to Nassau, Bahams Caribbean Vacation (Puerto Rico, or some place like that. Aruba seems to be very pricy) Beach (Myrtle Beach, Clearwater FL, or some place similar) Italy (Amalfi Coast is beautiful. Florence or Venice, either) Orlando (not disney. It would be Universal, discovery cove, seaworld, etc.) Now you can either rank your list, or just name your #1 pick. Please dont give other suggestions (unless theyre flippin awesome and youve experienced them 1st hand) and dont try manipulate me into Disney World...Ive been many ...many many....too many times and my fiance used to work there. lol Thanks guys!oops! I forgot to also mention to please give your date preference. Immediately after the wedding? Or a week later? And why? (i.e. "I went a week later and it gave me time to rest." or... "It's way more romantic to leave right after the wedding.")AND I would like to add that Italy is about a thousand bucks out of our budget.....I just couldnt bring myself to exclude it.... :( more

Resolved Question: where in Aruba is it safe and cheap to stay? anyone?

my best friend is having trouble planning her honeymoon. everything is so expensive nowadays and i know that even those "cheap travel" sites always post the ones who pay for advertising and are usually in the pricey range. it doesn't have to be aruba, it could be anywhere with clear waters and sandy beaches. by the way, she lives in new jersey and doesn't want to fly too far... like Greece, where I live. thanks. more

Resolved Question: I need help with my honeymoon!?

So, I want to go to Tahiti because of the clear, calm waters but there's no way we can afford it. So, I've made a list of other possibilities, Aruba, Bermuda, Barbados, Turks & Caicos, U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Bahamas. I just can't narrow it down even though I've looked at countless pictures and websites. I want to go to an island where the water is crystal clear and calm, and there is enough nightlife and day activities. If anyone has any personal experiences with any of the islands or any new ideas I would greatly appreciate it. I don't want to drop a few grand and be disappointed. It's hard to get a good idea from just looking at pics. No Jamaica, Mexico, or Hawaii! My honeymoon will be in November more
