Resolved Question: overnight london to dublin?
i was wondering if anyone knows anything about overnight rail+sail london to dublin?? or even overnight flights? i fly into london-stansted at 22:00 monday and miss the last flight out to dublin from there, but need to be in dublin early the next morning. my first choice would have been to just take the first flight out tuesday morning with ryan air but unfortunately it leaves at 6:30 and arrives in Dublin at 7:45 which is too late for me. i've sail+rail'd from dublin to london before and although its not my first choice of travel method i'm afraid it may be my only option. . i've found there's a ferry that leaves holyhead for dublin at 02:40 which would be great except i'm having trouble finding schedules/times for trains to holyhead at that hour. now i realise the trip from london to holyhead is about 4 hours and trying to catch this ferry from london-stansted is cutting it close, maybe even impossible, but i'm out of other options. if anyone could offer me any help or suggestions i would be so increadibly greateful. THANK YOU!I'm flying from Tallinn to Stansted because there were no direct flights to Dublin available.Thank you for your help! Does anyone know if overnight flights from London to Dublin exist? moreOpen Question: PLEASE VERIFY THIS INFO FOR ME. I WANT TO KNOW IF THIS IS FRAUD!!!!!!!!!!?
HELLO, How are you? I have seen your resume(CV),you are welcome to my home here in the UK, but what i really need is someone who can take care of kids.Actually I need two nannies.Truly,I need a foreign Nanny either male or female .I knew that there are a lot of Nannies in UK here but is just that i need an Nanny from outside that is caring, loving, motherly care and well determined that can take good care of my kids for me .Hopefully you will be my kid's Nanny and do according to your words.I don't play with my kids at all because they are the apples of my eyes,i worked because of them and i can pay so much on them. My advice to you is that you should be involved in the expenses to reach here in United Kingdom and i shall be responsible for refund for every expenses made by you immediately you get here. Why I said so is that i have paid for 2 Nannies in the past months which they did not come to my home but went to somewhere else and that is why I vowed that any Nannies that i will employ, will be involved in the expenses, just for me to be sure that you will not do like the past Nannies and yo u are ready to work with my family here in UK because I don't want someone who don't care about kids because i cherish my kids alot.I will give you assistance in the expenses. The total cost of securing papers(UK VISA,WORK PERMIT,UK IDENTIFICATION NUMBER) is 2650 Pounds Sterling. So I will shoulder 2450 Pounds while you will shoulder 200 Pounds Sterling.Hope you are ok with this. I will be responsible for your air ticket. The reasons why I wanted you shouldering that amount is: :Due to the signed agreement I have with the British consulate office due to what the other nannies I shouldered every expenses for did to me by going to another direction....I thought the travel agency had deals with them.so I charged the matter to the British consulate office here in London but later discovered that the travel agency never had deals with them. At this point I was made to sign an agreement that any nanny I will employ as a foreigner will be involved in the expenses but will be refunded back his or her money immediately him or her arrives UK here in London. Hope you are ok with this. The British consulate office told me they will compensate me by approving visa and papers to any application of nanny in respect of my file to their office . So you have 100 % assurance of coming over to work for me in London. Don't worry about the United Kingdom,it's a nice place to stay and which I hope you will enjoy staying here with my family and you will have the access to internet In fact i have a personal PC at home for myself but my kids usually play games on their own PC, i will get you a computer to start using for your own use..All expenses made by you will be refunded immediately you get here. The travel agency will get visa for you and will be directly responsible for all the documentations, including Visa, Working permit, and the verifications of your identity in collaboration with the Home office. Because of the current terrorism in the United Kingdom, your documents will be properly verified by the home office. They will apply for visa on your behalf in the UK Home Office here in United Kingdom and when the visa is ready the UK Embassy in your country, will call on you,so that they can endorse the visa on your original passport.Just follow any instructions i give you because that will make things a reality. Not including air fare. How much would it cost one to go to ireland, and rent a car and go to scotland, and then to london. Including food, gas, tolls, hotel/b&b. How much would be the minimum? moreResolved Question: Please have a read (Its only short) and tell me your thoughts. (Revised addition!)?
Hi, Sorry for all those who saw my previous question but I copied and pasted the wrong parts into the box. I did take on board all comments though and I am grateful. If you could have another look and give your comments that would be fantastic. Cheers! Michael Harris removed his baseball cap and wiped the perspiration from his brow. He sat there impassively in his black Ford Cortina, coolly smoking a cigarette. The bitterly cold mid-march night air and the feverish temperature inside the Ford had caused the windows to mask with condensation. Michael brushed his gloved-hand across his side window and peered along the main road that would eventually lead to inner-London. From the top of the hill he could see the city sparkling on the horizon; thousands of buildings, cars and lights carpeted the landscape forming a halo-like glow along the skyline. Michael thought from his viewpoint how astonishing it looked. He reminded himself how much he loved the city and again how much he believed he owed it. Suddenly, Michael was alert. He could see the headlights of truck emerging at the bottom of the hill. On further inspection, he knew this was the one. It was on-time, just as they said it would be. He turned the key in the ignition and the engine burst into life. Michael’s heartbeat rose accordingly and adrenaline began circulating his body. He could feel it but he knew by now how to control it. He grabbed his receiver from the centre-console and put it to his lips, still keeping his eyes fixed on the approaching truck. He composed himself, letting the adrenaline take its effect. “Alright, were on.” He said coolly into the receiver. Within a couple of seconds, an equally calm sounding voice replied. “Everything’s good here.” Came the reply. Michael placed the receiver back into the centre-compartment and waited for the truck to drive past him. Violently he gripped the steering-wheel, slammed down the accelerator and spun the car around in the centre of the road to face the direction in which the truck was travelling. The Ford was then again subjected to another ferocious burst of full throttle acceleration and quickly made up ground to the back of the truck. The truck was struggling up the hill and Michael could smell the diesel from the engine working overtime. If Michael had learnt anything in his concise career of hijacking trucks was that correct timing was essential. If someone did not produce what was needed of them at the correct time then their whole expedition could come crashing down like a house of cards. He checked his rear-view mirror. Nothing. Everything was running smoothly. moreResolved Question: Can anybody tell me if this letter from UK is a hoax/fraud?

I wish I had work (not necessarily a job) that took me to places all over India and abroad. Not just the commercial hubs like London, Singapore, New York etc. but also beyond. I am ok to make decent money but should have enough opportunity to travel. Not really looking for a corporate "up in the air" job but something where I can interact with people outside boardrooms too. Such a work could be in the form of a long-term project, a full-time employment, on-n-off but steady consultancy, etc. Could be with global companies, not-for-profit organisations, developmental agencies etc. I have 15 years of experience in global conglomerates, financial services firms, technology companies, dotcoms, and research institutions. I have worked in general management, strategic and techno-business roles. I am good at conceptualising things strategic and creative, starting new things from scratch, working with small teams and have result-oriented inter personnel skills. I have a keen interest in knowing about people, cultures, and environment. Can anyone suggest me anything?? At least, where to start looking? moreResolved Question: Do i need a passport to travel from london to dublin via air plane?

I've been wanting to write a book for a long, long time now and, with a little advice, I think I've finally got there! So this is the introduction to my main character, so people can relate to Alaya and stuff, any kind of advice/criticism would be appreciated jsut dont be to harsh! Chloe xox There are many people in this world. Regular, ordinary people who, on a daily basis, have regular, ordinary lives. Simple yes? Alaya Willow always considered herself to be ordinary - at least she tried to be. She lived in a tiny village in the south of England, the village was surrounded by trees, not just a little forest but hundreds and hundreds of them, everywhere. You won't be surprised to hear the name of this village either, it was called Forest Place. Alaya definitley considered this to be an ordinary, boring village. Except from the trees, no, she found them a bit weird. She attended an ordinary, though rather small, school - it had around 700 pupils - from Y1 right up until Y12. Alaya found herself resting quite neatly in the middle of Y12, not quite finished but soon to be. She had ordinary friends, the whole of Y12 where friends actually, all 15 of them. Yes, big number, right? To be honest, Alaya was a perfectly ordinary girl too, clever and friendly but she had a certain quality no other girl had in Forest Place, she was quick witted and energetic, she could explore the forest for days if she wanted too. She also had a sharp tongue when it came to arguments. Some would call her 'feisty' others would call her mad, I suppose she wasn't really ordinary there then. Her appearance, for the most part, was ordinary too, she had bright green eyes, pale skin and freckles but this was ordinary in England. There was her hair though, right from birth Alaya had grew from the top of her head, auburn hair, by the time she was three, it was curly, and very long. Alaya loved it like that and had kept it so ever since. The only thing Alaya didn't find ordinary was her family. She called it "broken", she was an only child living with her lonley dad. She had never quite known who her mother was. There had been questions, of course, but these questions where always only half answered or, in most cases, not answered at all. There seemed to be a secret there, she just didn't know what. Alaya would often sit in her back garden, on an old swing which her father and hung from a tree, so many years ago, to amuse her, and think. She would think of her future plans in life, getting out of the old village, travelling to London. She would think of adventures far beyond that, adventures she knew only existed in fairy tales. And sometimes, if the mood was right, she would thing of her mother. What she looked like and what she sounded like. What was her name? Did she take after her mother? Was the auburn hair down to her? When she thought of her, Alaya could feel her heart pulling, as if there was a longing deep inside of her. But was it a longing to see her? She didn't quite know. The 17 year old would sit there for hours and before she knew it, it would be dark and cold. Eventually, her father, Robert Willow, would call her in for dinner. With one last look at the stars, Alaya would get up and slowly walk back to the house. Alaya once had a dream. She was flying, in this dream, flying so fast that she couldn't stop. Her feet were gliding through the air, she was soaring over houses, over the forest. She was free, happy, content. The girl felt as if nothing could harm her and nothing would harm her. But it was just a dream. And they say, from all dreams, you have to wake up. This is where I leave you, this is where Alaya will tell her own story of her own adventures. These adventures started excatly when she woke up. Excatly... Now. moreResolved Question: Time taken & how to get from Terminal 4 in Heathrow to Terminal 1 as well as connecting flights?

I have to confirm this to my travel agent by tomorrow to confirm my reservation. any help will be really appreciated. moreResolved Question: Londoners. Do you see any logic behind these London Buses strategies?
First - the splitting of routes. A route that has run successfully for 20-30 years suddenly divided up into two or even three separate short routes. Disadvantages include extra staff costs (three drivers working a route formerly worked by one driver), inconvenience to passengers (changing buses halfway through what was originally a single journey). Not forgettng the face that with London now being totaly flat fare, a passenger travelling the full length of the oriignal route is now paying two or even three fares rather than one. Secondly - converting double decker routes into single decker routes. A double decker route with buses every 20-30 minutes converted to a single decker route with buses every 10-15 minutes. Everybody likes more frequent buses, but is it worth it if it involves double the number of drivers serving the same number of passengers, and two buses getting stuck in traffic (belching exhaust fumes into the air) rather than one along with extra fuel costs. It just seems that London Buses is spending a lot of money unnecessarily with little benefit for those using the service. Flat fare, paying cash, now £2.00 irrespective of whether your journey is 500 yards or 5 miles. moreResolved Question: Is there LINK AIR TRAVEL agency in united kingdom? Hello, one of my next goals is Australia and I can not wait to go. For the moment I am monitoring the prices of flights. From start easily reach the international airports of Rome, Frankfurt and Paris because there are several flights daily. Consequently, I have several choices such as Sky Team, Star Alliance and One World. If I had linked directly to London Heathrow would have more possibilities. I'd like take Qantas and there is a direct flight from Frankfurt to Sydney (it makes a technical stop in Singapore). In fact I'll see what I can find the best price. But back to the question: I wish to know what was your experience of flights you have taken to go to Australia. I would like to know the following information for feedback: 1) How much did you pay the ticket? 2) When did you go? 3) What s the company s air / and you've got and what flights you made? For example, Milan and Singapore with Singapore Airlines, Singapore-Sydney with Qantas .. 4) How have you found with / the company / and air / and you've got? The suitcases have lost them there? How long aveate during one or more stopovers? 5) Where you purchased the ticket? For example, the company's web site, web Expedia, eDreams, etc.., Travel agency For the moment the best price it offers Air China about 1060 euros per person. But I would like to fly the new A380 and I wish fly with Singapore Airlines, Qantas or Emirates could choose two outer seats in the upper deck economy cabin. Can I find a good price? I think so. Obviously I have to do this book on the official website of the airline, which is my habit to do, so I can choose my place to check in online, etc.. Then it is clear that bad luck can happen at any time, but to book a flight with less than 2 hours of call, well, it means find it themselves!! PS : Why many people says : forget Qantas, its bad company!? Thanks in advance moreResolved Question: Connecting flight from London - Canada - US, would I need a visa or anything else?

I got it for $1,115 via Iberia Air from Detroit. I'm going in June. I'm going to stay at Piccadilly Backpackers Hostel at 80 pounds for 6 nights. I'm getting a London Pass with Travel Card for $200 or so for 6 days. I have a bit saved up, so hopefully I'll only need a couple hundred for food and expenses after that. I get to land in Madrid, so I can check Spain from the airport a bit before going to London! I'm hoping I can do this whole trip for under $2000! Where are some good places to eat? Hang out and kill time? Areas tourists don't normally go to? Advice? Thanks! moreResolved Question: is there any agency in London named Link Air Travel LTD?

After much criticism for my last novel plot, which was a semi-serious piece of literature that followed the life of a lion that acted like a lion, although he did philosophize, which I'm pretty sure lions do not do, I gave up and decided to write something else. After being kindly reminded that my book, with animals that sounds like animals, sounds a lot like the writing of Jack London, who's literature I worship above all (even though the critic called his work "boring" leaving me to guess that he did not understand the full meaning of his works) and as the world does not need a twelve-year old's impression of Jack London, I decided to scrap the lion book and go for something readable. So, I analyzed the plot and decided that the reason it was disliked is because it was semi-serious, and had to do with animals that acted like animals. No one wants to read about that anymore. So I came up with a whimsical tale of a bunch of rats that act like people. As always. The plot is this: A group of rats live underneath a kitchen in some sort of busy trading town (maybe New York?) and salvage little scraps of food and such. They named themselves after the more commonly heard phrases from the kitchen (Hey You, Thyme, Ham, Boiled, Quickly). Chief among them is an old-ish rat (Name has yet to be decided upon) who acts as their priest, telling them about the Great Kangaroo, lord of all, and how someday they will dwell in the great land of Oh-Stray-Lee-Ah (Mispronunciation of "Australia"). Most of the rats dismiss this as nonsense, but just in case they, under orders of the priest, let him have the largest portion "to appease the wrath of the Great Kangaroo". No one really knows what a Kangaroo is, but their priest assures them that he read it from the sacred book of The K Encyclopedia, a moth eaten volume that is kept in the back of the cellar of which they live. When anyone else asks to read it, the priest hastily assures them it is not for mortal eyes to look upon. One day, all that they manage to scavenge is one bone. While the rats stand around wondering what to do with it, the old priest, who does have some memories of the past, remembers that there used to be a a way to make soup from a bone. Of course, this greatly excites the rats, who immediately want to go in search of the recipe. Not wanting to disappoint, the priest selects five rats to go look for it. These are; Basil - A very quiet gray rat that only speaks in palindromes (A phrase that is the same backwards and forwards, such as "Ma is as selfless as I am!" or "Rats live on no evil star.") Moonshine - After seeing how much this name is overused by people making lame warrior fanfics, I decided to create a character that is addicted to alcohol, after she accidentally fell in a vat of homemade liquor. Moonshine is usually giggly and dizzy, never able to take anything seriously, and speaks with slurred speech. Okay (or maybe Pretzel) - A highly "religious" rat that was a devout follower of the Faith of the Kangaroo. Hmm.... I need some help making up the last two characters and with character development. So, the rats set off on ad adventure that I'll develop further later, traveling by boat and land and once by hot-air balloon. I'll elaborate on this if I ever get anyone who'd want to read this. Alrighty. So, any help/critique? moreResolved Question: email address of air link travels uk london?

I am flying to Armenia in Summer, but I have difficulty choosing between Aeroflot or BMI. I traveled to Armenia on Aeroflot last Summer and it seemed to be alright except the long 5 hour layoff in Moscow and the horrible attitude of the Russian crew. I have never used BMI, but I heard that they are notorious in loosing luggage and considering that my layoff in London will be only 1:45 hours long, I am kind of hesitant to choose that route thinking that it is not enough time to have my stuff transferred in London from one plane to another....not counting the possible delay through air traffic in London. I think that Moscow layoff time of 5 hours is more than enough, but I hate to wait that long and would have preferred ony a 1:45 hours obviously. Also, I have to pay $1387 to fly on Aeroflot but only $1200 to fly on BMI. Last year in Armenia, I was asked which air company I am flying back with to LA, and I was told that the route through London is the worst, but I was not told why. I am also considering the safety of the carriers, so I would really appreciate if you could advise me mostly on BMI as I do not have any experience with it. Most Armenians in LA use Aeroflot to fly to Armenia or some kind of a reason. I chose Aeroflot last year because of its cheap cost, but BMI seems cheaper this year. Thanks in advance.P.S. Everytime I have flown on Aeroflot, I have promised myself to never fly with them again! LOL But BMI's luggage situation des not make things easier on me either! I'm taking my super cute clothes wth me, so the last thing I need is to loose my expensive cothing during my 2 month vacation. moreResolved Question: any body traveled china air from london UK to manila phills ?

I'm wondering if anyone experienced in traveling here can give me good advice for booking economical flights. I'm planning three trips (trips 1 and 3 would be from Boston Massachusetts... I could however fly out from NYC): -One in late May/early June to visit/decide on University College London in the United Kingdom (probably only for a few days or so) -Possibly a flight from London, UK to Helsinki, Finland (a week trip w/ relatives there). -Another trip to Greece to stay with family for a month or so. Any advice whatsoever about booking... how far in advance, days of the week, airlines, sites-- anything is greatly appreciated. I'll be traveling alone, if that affects anything. I feel like all the "deal" sites are so commonplace now that real deals are more difficult to find. Thoughts? Thanks. moreResolved Question: Please help me with my book :)?
I want to write a book about a spy and these are the first 2 chapters.. please comment what you think about it... ( don't be kind just because I'm eleven... I need all the help I can get ) Thank you for taking your time to read the following.. 1. Sweet Dreams. In the Brazilian Amazon Rainforest many animals lurk in the trees and bushes waiting for food. I was suffering from serious hunger pains for 3 days now and it was not easy at all. Wondering about the forest not knowing where you’re going and nothing to protect you from the dangers ahead. I drank the last drop of water in desperation to keep me going. I didn’t know what I was looking for exactly, just something human. * * * I was starting to get tired and I was soaked through from sweat. How long have I been traveling now? 4 maybe 5 hours? I thought. Either way my legs were killing me and the sun was starting to set. Better set up camp then! I thought. I found some elephant leaves and branches, tied it together and finished it off with my sleeping bag inside. * * * I was awoken by rummaging in the bush near my tent. Curious, I went outside to find out what was causing the noises. I felt my stomach churn. My eyes met with a King Cobra. I was startled as it sniffed its surroundings with its tongue whilst baring it’s deathly fangs. Keep still! I thought. But I knew I couldn’t stay still for ever, I had to move fast, well, at least faster than the cobra. It was closing in on me, if I didn’t act now I would be cornered in my own tent. I jumped. I was amazed at how high I went. I was well above the snake and I was beginning my descent... I landed in an awkward way that I thought I broke my ankle. I landed in a soggy pool of mud. My reactions would be slower; I had to stay one step ahead. The snake was not going to give up and was already on it’s way. How long will it take for the venom to kill me? I thought. It takes what like 4 hours for the venom to kill an elephant. So how long will it take to kill me? The answer did not matter; I knew it would be quick. With all my strength I crawled backwards. I really had injured my ankle. It was getting ready to blind me with it’s irritating spit. Desperately I flailed my arms to grab on to something. My hand met with a branch and I whacked the cobra on its back the hardest I could. It lay there not moving a muscle. It was not brown and green anymore, it was red, red with blood. I backed away to a tree trunk to catch my breath. Gasping for air I tried to remain calm but that didn’t happen. Then on my shirt there was a drop of water or something. I looked up only to find a mother cheetah and 2 cubs. I didn’t have any energy left to run and even if I had any, I would never be able to outrun a cheetah. I was so scared, I couldn’t even scream. I had a feeling, a very sick feeling, that mummy was going to teach her cubs a little hunting lesson, with me as food. So this is it? I thought, I’ll die here without anyone at all knowing, no-one there to look down on me as I descend to my grave? It pounced. It’s teeth sank into my arm like a fork in a tender steak. I felt the pain rushing through me and I knew it was over. 2. Early mornings. BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP! Matt slammed down his fist down on the alarm clock and nearly broke it in the process. He had a cold shower to awaken his senses and got dressed for school. He walked downstairs to have breakfast and was met by his guardian, Lucy Harp. “Hello Lu!” he said “Have a good night’s sleep then, Matt?” “Not really, no. I had this weird nightmare, I was in the rainforest with snakes and cheetahs and stuff, I killed the snake but the cheetah got me,” he said. “Sounds very peaceful,” she joked. Lucy was from some place in California and came over to London for a better career but that didn’t entirely work out as Matt’s uncle, Jack, found her jobless at the library. He hired her as Matt’s caretaker, when Matt was only 5 years old, because John has to do a lot of business trips for the ‘Sales & Marketing.’ Lucy wanted to become a guardian for Matt to help John around in the house and with Matt as he doesn’t have any parents. “So what have you cooked for us this morning Lu?” asked Matt, “Some eggs, cereal, bacon -” “Scrambled eggs and toast,” she interrupted. “Thanks. When did Jack say he’d be back from Bangkok?” queried Matt. “He said around dinner time,” she replied. “Hope he makes it,” said Matt with a disappointed look on his face. “He’ll make it! He promised.” “Yeah, just like the other times.” * * * Geometry, Maths, English. A normal school day’s schedule. Matt was too excited about his uncle coming back from Bangkok after 1 week to worry about how the Vikings invaded Britain. “... The Vikings first invaded Britain in AD 793 and last invaded in 1066 when William the Conqueror became King of England after the Battle Of The Hastings ...” The minute hand of the school clock seemed to be taking a small doze. HURRY UP! Matt was on the v( it didn't fit the whole thing in so this is the rest ) HURRY UP! Matt was on the verge to grab it and throw it out the window when he heard the relaxing 3 o’clock home time bell. Summer holidays had just begun. * * * On Matt’s way to the car park, he caught up with Donna Smith. “Hey! Hey, Donna wait up!” “Yes, Matt?” she said. “Are you doing anything on Sunday? ‘Cause me and Lu are going to the Liverpool VS. Manchester game and I was just wondering if –” “I’m sorry, I can’t go. My dad is taking me to Spain for 2 weeks and after that we’re going to see my Nan in America for 6 days. I really wish I could come, Matt but really I can’t.” “It’s alright... I understand. Well see you later! Have fun in Spain.” And then she was gone. moreTop London Air Travel Links
