Resolved Question: Tourism Websites in Europe/America/UK/SPAIN/ITALY?
Hi, I need to know top five travel websites for the purpose of booking international air tickets in the following countries-Europe/America/UK/SPAIN/ITALY respectively. moreResolved Question: Getting around within countries in Europe and weather?
Starting the first week of October, my hubby and I plan to take a trip to Europe as follows: Munich (2.5 days), Zurich (2 days), Cinque Terre villages (2 days), Florence (2.5), Rome (2 to 3 days) I haven't made any transportation reservations yet because I'm really confused with the train system. From reading on the web, would you suggest that I buy a 3-Country Select Saver Pass and then buy the train tickets locally to travel within Italy? Also, since I haven't bought the air tickets, I could still change the destinations. I do definitely want to go to Italy. However, if someone strongly says I should avoid Munich and Zurich in October, I will. Any advice will be much appreciated. Thank you so much. moreResolved Question: Air travel with lighter and alcohol in luggage of minor?
I'm underage and on vacation with my family in Italy. Today I got a super cool electronic lighter with a mirror and a bottle of absinthe without my parents knowing. I would very much like to bring these both back with me to the united states and I'm wondering if it's possible for me to bring these with me either in checked luggage or carry on with no fuss from the airline people that would cause my parents to know I had them! Either way, carry on or checked luggage is there any way for these to just slide through so my parents don't find out I have them? It would just be such a waste to have to leave them :(So far in my research concerning the topic of the lighter it says I can have it in my pocket but that would mean having to put it out on the tray to go through the scanner and then my parents would see so just ugh it's all a matter of it getting through so my parents don't know which means no trouble from the airport people....I was thinking the alcohol wouldn't be a big deal at all since I'm with my parents and it could be theirs right... moreResolved Question: My passport was stolen in the summer of 2008 and I cannot remember if I reported it...?
A month after it was stolen the police recovered it and I now have it back! BUT my husband and I are taking a trip to Mexico (by air) on September 1st and I really don't want to pay $186 to get a brand new expedited passport. Before anyone gives me crap for not doing this sooner...I just decided yesterday to surprise my husband with the trip and could not have booked it earlier because he was deployed... So anyway back to the issue at hand - I don't want to take the risk of going to Mexico if they are not going to not let me in! Does someone out there have any clue how to find out if the passport is invalid? Now it's been two years since I last traveled out of the country and it was only to Italy but as far as I remember no one scans or checks it in a computer -- but I've certainly been wrong before! Thank you for any help!I called the 800 number from the passport website about five minutes ago and they said they had no way to check it. moreResolved Question: Travel Expenses to be borne by company for International Training Assignment?
I have been hired by a Italian Company in India. They have called me for 1 month training in September it Italy. They are paying for my air expenses to italy and back, booked my hotel for 30 days with breakfast, lunch and dinner at hotel and will also make arrangements for my travel from hotel to office and back. I want to ask that what if i want to have my meals outside the hotel sometimes if i dont like the food at hotel or if i go outside the city on weekends or about my incidental expenses like laundry or ciggarettes or drinks. Should the company pay for the above expenses also as per the worldwide norms for international travel and if yes then how should i ask my company to pay. I have been clogging the Italy forum for weeks now and for that, I sincerely apologize. I am very torn between studying abroad in Rome and Florence, Italy. I have two huge concerns: 1) Cost - both programs are approximately $15,000 ... i have about $6,000 in financial aid. Banks allow you to take out an educational loan for the amount up to the total cost of the program. So my thought process is 15k - 6k= 9k (so the program will really only be costing me 9k because of financial aid) but, i can continue to borrow 15k so I have 5/6k for living expenses, meals etc. - I need to know which city is more expensive in terms of living expenses! Since this is not a vacation (I will be living there for approximately 5 months) I don't think I will feel the need to splurge on one huge night out because I will have opportunities to go out all of the time. But I do need to know which city has more expensive food, night life, attractions, etc. 2) Travel opportunities - This means so much to me I would almost set this above cost. I was thinking of purchasing the Eurail Global Pass (the 3 month one) and traveling throughout Europe on the weekends. Now, most destinations I would want to reach (Ireland, Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelona) are about a day's worth of travel away from Rome and Florence. So I was wondering if I could get any opinions on the Eurail pass vs. cheap airlines like Ryan Air and Easyjet Overall ... which city will allow me to have a better experience based on these two factors? ps- is the 3 month eurail pass worth if for me living there for 4/5 months (i will probably only be able to travel on weekends) moreResolved Question: Rome versus Florence, study abroad (cost, travel opportunities), please help! 10 pts!?

I'm considering entering the Air Force Nurse Corps and I want to hear people's perspectives on it, pros and cons. I just graduated with a BSN and I'm planning to get married next September, so I think if I do decide to go through with it that I'll wait till after then. Miliary isn't something that I've really considered before, but I've started to look at it and it seems like a pretty good option. I have a ton a questions. And what are deployments like? How often are nurses deployed and long do they typically go for? I heard up to a year or longer is possible. Would you get to come home and visit family anytime if you had to be deployed for an entire year? What kind of training do nurses do? I know they go in as officers, so no boot camp, but what kind of training do nurses get? What kind of pay do nurses receive? Is it competitve with civilian nursing jobs? I have about $20,000 in student loans that I need to pay back. I heard the military will help pay back loans, but how exactly does that work? And I want to go to grad school eventually, will they help with that? And I hear they give you money for housing, or you can live on base. Can you live on base for free? Can you have pets? Do you get to pick where you're stationed? I've heard that you make a wish list and they try to honor it. Say I get stationed somewhere I don't like, can you request to transfer somewhere else after a certain amount of time? I'm really interested in traveling and would love to work in other countries, but I wouldn't want to stay in the same place for the full 4 years. I read on the Air Force website that during your 30 days vacation "you can take advantage of available space on Air Force aircraft. You can fly to exotic destinations, including Italy, Australia, England, Germany, Japan and almost any state in the U.S." Does that mean you can fly for free if there's available space? I know that's a ton of questions! I'm just trying to figure out all the benefits. And I'd like to hear people's perspectives on the negative aspects of the military also. moreResolved Question: what are some good deals to travel to and in italy, and paris?

I mean, seriously. Who else thinks that the Adidas Jabulani is the worst ball ever manufactured in the history of FIFA? This is what peeps had to say: Brazil goalkeeper Júlio César said the ball felt horrible, comparing it to a "supermarket" ball that favored strikers and worked against goalkeepers.[7] Giampaolo Pazzini from Italy labelled it "a disaster".[8] Chile's goalkeeper, Claudio Bravo, complained about the ball, saying "it was made to make life difficult for the goalkeepers."[9] Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas also branded the ball "appalling".[10] Italian keeper Gigi Buffon said, "it is very sad that a competition so important as the world championship will be played with such a horrible ball."[11] Brazilian striker Luís Fabiano called the ball "supernatural", as it unpredictably changed direction when travelling through the air, adding that none of the players of the Brazilian squad reacted in favor of the ball. In the same interview, Brazilian Júlio Baptista said the ball worked against strikers and goalkeepers, as it moved in different and unintended directions after a kick.[12] Joe Hart of England, after training with the ball for a number of days, said the "balls have been doing anything but staying in my gloves." Altitude issues at today's England Vs. USA match? Isn't the ball actually supposed to be manufactured to defy all of that?Yes, Howard was AWESOME. :]Oh, and I'm not English and I thought that was a very poor save by him, too. But the ball seems posessed by a Haitian Voodoo spirit. moreResolved Question: Watch Italy vs Switzerland Denmark Live Stream International Friendly match on 05 - 06 -10 where?

hi everyone! I'm going to be travelling from Italy to Canada and will remain there for a long period of time, and therefore need to take my pet rabbit with me. My trip will take place in November, and since air travel with rabbits is a delicate subject, I'm starting to get informed as of now. I've done a lot of research and found out that very few flights allow rabbits in the CABIN, which complicates things since I want bunny in the cabin with me, not in the hold or as cargo. From what I've gathered so far, Continental, Delta, Finnair, etc, allow rabbits on board. Problem is, Continental doesn't specify whether having rabbit in the CABIN applies only to flights within the US, or internationally as well. Delta says that they need to be shipped as checked baggage, which is not an option. Finnair apparently doesn't allow them on "leisure flights" so I'm not sure what that's supposed to mean. I haven't yet called the airlines, though I plan to soon. What I was hoping to find, however, was someone who has already been through the process, and could shed some light on the situation. If anyone has previously travelled with a rabbit, by plane, overseas, and with the bunny in the cabin, please let me know what airline was used. I've read online about people who have brought their rabbits in the cabin with them, but the information is vague and I'd really like for someone to tell me directly so I can better understand. I'd really appreciate it, because I'll be gone for many months and can't leave Bunny behind. Thanks in advance! moreResolved Question: What is the air travel time between Portland, Oregon and Rome, Italy?

my sis is in italy and wants to get back as she's having to pay out of her pocket and is generally a panicky person. i told her she has an excuse to spend more time in a great country, but she wants to get back. she's not great at figuring out how to get to calais or deal with traveling long dist with a few changes. only other option is to pick her up. i've always wanted to do a road trip in europe but have never picked up the courage due to potential costs, time and i just kept adding restraints to the situation. so here have the chance but i can't take time off work. only thing i can think of is if i can get cover for fri i can set out thurs morning (i do nights) and get back either fri night or latest sat midday - if i can get me sis to meet me in switzerland. is it worth it if all this carries on? what are the potential costs? moreResolved Question: How do you want to spend your life?
I don't know how to start but since i was small i watched a lot of Discovery Travel & Living because its so nice to watch and learn about this lonely planet earth full of life, in this universe. I see different countries, cultures, food, lifestyles, nature, sweet climates and i felt like i should just keep traveling the world and live like that. I am 22 and worked for 1.5 years and realized what it is to be responsible and hard working. All my life for 20 years i was told by parents and every adults to study so that i can get a great job and earn good amount and even after doing that i find myself rubbing my dash all day long at work and getting no time for myself. Seriously, even two days leave of sat and sun were not sufficient and didn't make any difference after being out of home for 12 hours in a day. My manager earned way too much than me in like 70 thousands and i could still see him all day long every day holding his head all tensed and working hard. I always wondered does he even get time to spend all that he earns? This life is sheet. I don't really want this. There is no difference between adults and young kids, responsibilities and hard work is what make you an Adult, that is what i think. Then you get used to it and it doesn't even bother you. Hey, I already know we need to work and be responsible but that's just because everone does that. Its all about the money. Lucky are Mark Zukerberg, Bill Gates, Micheal Dell, Lawrence Page etc who started business and are super rich now. I get free tickets to any country in the world but i cant travel because i cant afford a stay there. I want to go to Paris, Rome, Italy, eat nice things, breath new air, see and feel the nature and other end of this planet. Get out of myself and be free of tension, issues, etc. Do you feel and want the same? moreResolved Question: Airforce or Navy: Which is better for travelling the world and controlling where you live?
I'm considering joining the Navy or Airforce, and my main concern is the lifestyle. My goals are that I want to travel and live in Europe. I want to travel to Germany, Italy, and Spain in particular. Also, since I want to live there, if I meet a woman say while I am in Italy and I want to marry her, for example, what sort of strain will it put on that being in the US Navy? Can I request to be stationed there permanently? So my questions are: a) Spain, Italy and Germany, is Air Force or Navy better for being stationed there? and b) which branch offers better control/leeway in terms of letting you be where you want? moreResolved Question: What Airlines have you traveled with?

I wrote these its for a class.?
There’s a new man in town today folks! Pieter Brueghel just moved here from the city of Rome! Welcome him to our beautiful city of Brussels where the air is fresh and crisp and the fishing is great! Pieter Brueghel just got down a little while ago painting a magnificent picture of what is suppose to be the Tower of Babel! What an amazing accomplishment is to have your paintings recognized! During an interview, a peasant child, asked Brueghel, “Who taught you to become an artist? Could I be an artist someday?” Pieter then said, “Well my good friend apprenticed me, his name was Pieter Coeck van Aelst, a successful artist in the Italian style who maintained some studios. If you work hard you may become an artist such as me.” Pieter Brueghel was born in the year of our lord, 1527, and he has traveled a wide various of places, including France and Italy! We asked Pieter, “How did you like moving so much when you were younger?” he replied with, “Moving so much as a child has really inspired the images of other people, and countries into my paintings.” Pieter has settled down in Brussels because well, he thinks of us as more of as a “family” town. As well to honor his good friend Pieter Coeck van Aelst, who we all know moved her as well as died her right down in Brussels. Someone also recently asked him, “What sets your paintings from those of other painters?” Quickly witted, Pieter replied with, “I actually get involved with my work, it’s not just the inspiration, but the depth and personality of the painting itself. I’ll dress up as a peasant just so I may have a chance for a new inspiration. As you can see in one of my older paintings which I call, The Peasant Wedding, it shows everyone that you wouldn’t see in a knight’s house or lords’. But just people being people, you see bakers and a musician, to guest’s stuffing their faces.” We all should greatly welcome him into the town, and quickly get him situated! The community has gone out of their way to even ask the mayor and council to hold a spaghetti feed in honor of Mister Brueghel’s situation! Whatta a guy! We can already tell he’s going to be a great guy. ~ Spaghetti feed shall be held in the banquet room on the south side of town! Starting at about 3 hours after the sun is high in the sky; bring your family and friends! Hello ladies, further more here is your weekly scoop of the Bakalauro! Man, have we got a man for you, “wink wink”. This fine young man was born in 1485 in a village called Medillin in the country of Spain. Now getting up there in his age, he’s been looking to settle down, and he’s giving a woman of the Spanish decent, a privilege to come over to the new world and to be wed to him. This man may be old, but trust me ladies! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity! Hernan Cortes has traveled the world! He’s been on many expeditions to the newer founded country of Cuba and Mexico. In which, by the way, he’s pretty much ruling Mexico. This rich man did not become where he’s at today by sitting around playing hop scotch, but by getting out there and exploring the wild blue yonder. He’s oh so very smart too, if you should know, he has been to law school, but he disappointedly ashamed himself from his family . But that was not his dream; his dream was to sail away to a new country, a new life in search of love, money, and power. He’s found the last two, but he’s still looking for the first one. Cortes is a very driven man, he was given a ship and a crew, he was given food and was cared for while over in Mexico. So there’s a guarantee that you yourself shall be taken care of just as well. Hernan Cortes is a very hardy man, when he was in Mexico, his ships were allegedly burned down, and he was to walk through the tropical heat of the jungle, through 400 miles of rough terrain, after fighting many battles with the now un violent Aztecs. Now you’re probably thinking Aztecs!? Indians!? Savages!? Well let me tell you, they will not even think about laying a finger on you. At first Moctezuma, pronounced Mock-ta-zoo-ma, treated Hernan very well, these people were very polite and courteous to their guests. Cortes made a few mistakes, but what leader doesn’t screw up once in a while! Well, Cortes of course wanted their gold! So he decided to use his battle tactics to safely take it without hurting anyone, but his plan soon actually failed! His team planned on kidnapping, and not harming Moctezuma because he was a very high placed man in his community. But soon turned too worse when the people attacked Cortes and his men! So he rightfully defended himself. Cortes has fame, power, and gold, which also makes him a very good bachelor for you young ladies. Don’t think the Aztecs were savage or stupid because certainly they aren’t! Ha! Let me fill ya in on the advancements that they’ve made! These men created a writing system, and religious belief. They also created roads and canals, as well as marketplaces and made some advancement in astrology. BBut sadly, they thought that us Spanish, were to be Gods coming back from the heavens on our horses! Well they have the God part right, unfortunately their luck soon faded to grey when this strange disease came through, not affecting the Spanish! Some of the Aztecs said that the Gods were punishing them. But that was not the case, one of our doctors diagnosed a man with this infectious disease called small pox which was quite gross, this killed off most of the Aztecs. Hernan has gotta be pretty buff to do all that and live! Ifyou believe you’d be a good pick for Mister Cortes, then you should come to his awards ceremony this coming weekend! If he believes you to be the right choice, then you shall pack up your stuff and head back with him to the new world! Good luck ladies! EXTRA EXTRA READ ALL ABOUT IT!! No, seriously, you actually can read all about it! Just recently Christine de Pizan’s new book just came out recently, titled The Book of Feats of Arms and Chivalry! This war like fiction was written by Franklin de Jahaunsen, but we recently found out that this book was written by Christine de Pizan! What we wondered most what why a women would write a book under a man’s name! Why do such a thing! She just recently told us that she was unable to use her female name because her editor thought that if she used her female name that the book would not sell. Christine was originally born in Bologna, Italy. But ever since she can remember, she has always lived in France. Sir Francis Jaquebyson was fairly curto the reason why you spent your child hood in France. She answered, “I never had a choice, I went where my family went. My dad worked for the king of France in the French court.” Another person who was quite intrigued with Christine’s books would also like to ask, “Have you written any other books?” Bright eyed Christine replies, “Oh yes, writing is one of my favorite things to do. I have written plenty, but one that you would probably enjoy was called, The Book of the City of Ladies. This book is viewed through a women’s point of view, on everything, the economy, women’s rights, and European history!” Sir William Hill also wanted to ask Christine one last question, “What are your own personal viewsabout equality between men and women?” quietly but full of joy and happiness Pizan answers, “My views specifically state in the book, but as a quick summary, all I can really say is that I believe that women should have the same opportunities as men to receive an education. We both have different strengths and weaknesses, and the men cannot do it all by themselves.” But back on the track! Christine’s husband died in a terrible ice skating accident, which left poor Christine devastated. Being and independent women she to support herself, and began to work as an historian on the French court. moreResolved Question: Extreme Fear Of Flying?
Well, the first time I flew anywhere was to Italy, when I was young, and all I can remember is being so releived when the plane was coming into landing. The next time I flew was to Turkey, and I remember experiencing turbulance, and gripping the seat so hard I nearly ripped it. I live in London, and in early June I have to fly up to Scotland for my cousins wedding. I was hopeing we would end up getting the train, but my mum said we had to fly. Everytime I say I'm scared of flying, all my mum and sister do is fire statistics about how its more likely I will won the lottery than be in a plane crash. Lately I have been obsessing over it so much its driving me crazy, I can't keep myseld from watching air crash investigation over and over, and I have recurring dreams of the plane not taking off properly and crashing. I'm not scared of heights or speed or anything, as I ski alot ( travel by coach ) and go to go ape loads. I'm not even scared of death, I am a beleiver. I'm a Junior in high school. Right now i want to one day major in Business/corporate finance. Investment banking, fund managing, or banking would be my biggest interest. The Unites States air force from what i hear not only pays for your education but it also supplies you with an excellent education along with the great experiences of serving your country and traveling the world (I have a friend who is stationed in Italy and he say's he LOVES it). My question is by joining the USAF when you finish your schooling (undergraduate degree) and your I believe 4 years of service are there many pathways open for you? Job wise will you be limited to the average joe salary making $40,000 a year or are there good oportunities graduating from the USAF in business? moreResolved Question: Do they stamp your passport when traveling to italy via air from London?
moreResolved Question: What is the one place on earth that you've visited which exceeded all your expectations, on a spiritual level?
Around ten years ago I went to Israel and decided to visit the dead sea while there. It wasn't a particularly special thing to me...I'd seen the dead sea in magazines and on TV...it looked interesting/fun but nothing "out of this world". Israel was a last minute holiday destination because it was cheap - so I never even planned the location, let alone what to do once there! The dead sea area was ...well... let me tell you this first: I've been to India (of which there are many stunning parts), Sri Lanka, Maldives, Egypt, America, Thailand, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Greece, Turkey, Tunisia, Morocco etc and I've seen beautiful views. I've been to jungles riding on elephants, deserts riding on camels and spent the night under the stars. In other words, I've travelled some. More than most and less than others. Often when I see beautiful views I stand and stare...to soak it all in... (whether great salt lakes, desert mirages, houses in Pompeii, collosseum of Rome or Pyramids of Egypt)... but after 5-10 minutes I've had my fill and walk away satisfied, the picture in my head and a pleasure of seeing first hand something that I'd only previously read about or seen on television. After I finished bathing in the salt water of the dead sea (and showering off quickly afterwards, because that stuff really STINGS - or at least the mud does!) we travelled down the road and pulled up to relax and have a quick drink. Walking down to the waters edge I was stunned at how still...really still without a ripple...that the water was. It was as if it was truly dead and devoid of life. The air was warm and the beautiful mountains stood tall and magestic opposite the lake, reflecting perfecting in the still dark water. Nothing stirred. The place was relaxing yet eretheral, it almost felt holy (and I'm not a religious person) and it was definitely spiritual...yes spiritual. I've never said this about a place before. I couldn't with hand on heart say exactly WHAT was different, but I can tell you that I wanted to stay there and soak it in. Nearly 40 minutes passed and I couldn't get enough of it...I didn't want to leave, but we needed to get back before dark. To this day I can't tell you why, but somehow for some unexplained reason, this is a special place. Does anyone else have a similar story? Not the club 18-30 type holiday location - but a special location which took your breath away and left you unprepared at the everlasting memories it would leave you with? Please share. moreResolved Question: A group of 16-17 yr olds want to travel to Italy with no adults?
Heey Well... Im 15 now. But high school in the UK finishes in 1 and a half years time and me and my friends are planning to travel to Italy in the summer holidays to feel the freedom and relax before the start of 6 form (otherwise known as college. yr 12 and 13). Well, I am half-italian and my family still has an empty house over there and we could camp out in it. We would spend our own money and live on pizzas (that are cheap and delicious) and random stuff. We would only go for.. ten days? By then one of us could have a license (would they let a teenager rent a car?) and we could go out to lake garda and stuff. We would be a group of six girls.. mature but a little wild lol.. is it fine to do this? And how much money would we need? (We would get tickets with Ryan-air and fly over... if not we can drive over with a minivan lmao!) Thanks in advance! :P PS Oh I also speak and write italian and know people over there. To Claudio C... Erm.. you can fly by Ryanair 16+ On some airlines you can travel by 12+ or younger even. Hi guys, I am flying from Australia to Italy on the 16th of January and I will be changing flights at Domodedovo airport. Stop over is about 6 hours. Do I need a transit visa? Some people say yes but on the russian consulate's website i found this "Transit visa permits to travel through the Russian territory without stay depending on your tickets, it is issued for up to 72 hours, if you travel by air, or for up to 10 days, if using other means of transportation. Foreign citizens have the right to pass through the territory of Russian Federation without a transit visa in the following cases: - if they make a non-stop air flight over the territory of the Russian Federation; - if they make an international air flight and a transfer in a Russian airport provided they have due documents to enter the country of destination and a air flight ticket with an indicated date of flight from the Russian transfer airport within 24 hours upon arrival (but for emergency landing). - if they reside in a country, that has signed a non-visa agreement with the Russian Federation. saving up money to do a european vacation culminating in enjoying mediterainian beaches in italy. So, what I was going to do was take a direct flight across the pond to london and then take the eurostar to Zurich staying overnight then taking the highspeed through the alps down into Milan connecting to a train heading towards Rome and Naples and then thinking of Ischia and Sardinia. The train would be amazing as I've never been to europe and the countryside and mountains would be amazing. I'm leaving for BMT on February 9th, and I got my number 1 choice on my list, which was Load Master. I know that your job determines where you go, along with the needs of the Air Force. I really like the thought of going to Europe, and was thinking England for a while, but as I started doing more research, I saw a lot of mixed opinions on what I should shoot for on my dream list. I plan on putting all over seas bases on my list, so hopefully Ill get one of them! Now, my question I guess would be, what over seas base(s) are the "best", or in other words, which ones do airmen really try to get to, and why? I love traveling, and cant wait to start as a Load Master, I was told I was really lucky to get this job out of the job drop, and that Ill get to see a lot of places! In order to maybe give you a better idea of what bases I like, heres a bit about me: -I like to have some drinks, not all the time, but a fun drinking scene is nice here and there. (by that I mean, maybe go out to a nice bar/pub or something to that effect, meet up with a pretty lady, and just have an enjoyable night, with a good opportunity to experience the culture.) -I really like the thought of being immersed into a totally different culture. ( I want to get a degree in anthropology eventually.. its just a personal interest of mine, so the cultural aspect is something I find really important) -I like doing the outdoor stuff, going for hikes, seeing the different sights and all that is always a good time, especially if your going to be in a different country! -I'm not too picky on weather, rain all the time wouldn't be too great, but at the same time, it is in its own way? -As any guy my age would say, HAVE to have some pretty ladies (I have been told Italy) -I am from kind of a small town, but would really like an area that is somewhat in between. By that I mean, I would like a place that I can be in a bit more populated area if I like, but at the same time I can hang out in the countryside too. (this doesn't hold too much weight I suppose) I'm not trying to be picky, and honestly, I could care less on where I get sent overseas, I just didn't want to ask this question and not give you anything to go off as far as what my interests/personality might be. I am really just happy to even have the opportunity to travel around and hopefully be put in a place that takes me out of my "comfort zone". I'm really trying to go into all this with an open mind, and I guess the thought of not really knowing what is going to happen or where I'm going to end up is half the fun for me, I'll just take things as they come! moreResolved Question: Here is a good tough question for me traveling alone.?
Hello,I am a 19 year old male single looking to get away from all this frustration on choosing the right college.I just want to have fun BY MYSELF.I want to get out in the world and escape the hectic United States New Yorker lifestyle for a week.So my question is can anyone help me find a good ALL INCLUSIVE(food, some entertainment and place to stay(cruise ships count as a place)) and round trip vacation to any of these locations: Bahamas Bermuda United Kingdom Spain Italy Germany or the Caribbean. For prices ranging between $600-$900 USD. In the Months of November 2009,March,April or May 2010. Departing round trip by flight or cruise out of anywhere in NY. Seems like a hard match but I think its possible with all the deals going on.A cruise seems more likely because of the all inclusiveness with meals and interior rooms but air fare is getting cheap so maybe there are some good plans for that. Thanks for any responses. moreResolved Question: Not to forget to attack in Kabul? and Italians dead for this mission?
BUL / SIENA (Reuters) - E 'six Italian paratroopers dead and four wounded, as well as 10 Afghan civilians killed, the budget of a suicide attack today in Kabul, capital of Afghanistan. This was confirmed by Defense Minister Ignazio La Russa, while the Afghan Defense Ministry stated that there are ten dead and 52 wounded among civilians. The deadliest attack was claimed by the Taliban with a text message sent from a phone number used by one of their spokesmen. According to the first reconstruction of the incident, around 12 hours local time (about 9:30 in Italy), a bomber in a car packed with explosives was blown up after managing to slip between two armored vehicles " Lince "Italians, engaged in an escort service, traveling from the airport to the headquarters of the international force ISAF. "The pleas were 10 our soldiers. All have suffered consequences from the outbreak, six dead and four wounded," La Russa said in a speech at the Senate. "At least 150 kilos of explosives" By late afternoon, in an informative report to the House, La Russa said the car bomb that killed six paratroopers' was packed with at least 150 pounds of explosives. " The defense minister has however reiterated what was said on the occasion of other attacks, namely that the episode of today is not part of a strategy targeted against the Italians. The victims belong to 186esimo Folgore regiment and are: Lieutenant Anthony Fortunato (of Lagonegro in the province of Potenza, born in 1974), Sergeant Major Robert Valente (Naples, 1972), 1 Corporal Major Matthew Mureddu (Oristano , 1983), 1 corporal Giandomenico Pistonami (of Orvieto in the province of Perugia, in 1983), 1 Corporal Major Maximilian Randín (of Pagans in the province of Salerno, 1977), 1 corporal Davide Ricci (born in Switzerland in 1983) also belong to three of the four wounded 186esimo regiment, the Fourth Air Force. According to a spokesman for the Italian contingent in Kabul, the wounded "are completely out of danger. They scorch in various parts of the body, not deep as feared at first, and severe bruising but no fractures." Colonel Benito Milani, detachment commander of the Folgore regiment 186esimo in Siena, told reporters that the bodies could be part of Italy tomorrow: "I suppose that the bodies will arrive tomorrow or two days in Rome because the dead were from provinces different, and I suppose that the capital would be held a state funeral. " The massacre - that after the attack in Nasiriyah Iraq in 2003, which killed 17 Italian soldiers and two civilians, in addition to nine Afghans, is the deadliest attack in recent years to the Italian troops abroad - brings the Italian casualties in Afghanistan to 20. NATO: TRUE TRAGEDY BUT SOME COMMITMENT ITALY NATO has called the attack a "real tragedy" but does not question the presence of Italy in the international mission in Afghanistan. "These soldiers have died carrying out a mission absolutely essential for our own security," he told Reuters in Brussels NATO spokesman James Appathurai, adding that "there is no fear that this attack could cause the withdrawal of Italian troops from mission. Despite these "despicable, cowardly attacks that have struck in the most devious, we will not stop," he promised the Senate La Russa. That Italy could withdraw from Afghanistan has also excluded the Interior Minister Roberto Maroni, said he would "surrender to the logic of terrorism," although in recent months, the Northern League, his party, has called for an abandonment of mission. moreResolved Question: What is canada like......?
Hey, im 16 and ive travelled all over south america, asia, oceania and the pacific and Australia, and all of europe. I was wondering what canada is like because ive read so much about it and how good the living standards are. The best country i have been to in any continent has got to be Switzerland by far. I could tell the difference the first time i stepped foot in switzerland, as i was crossing the road i relised that the car driving passed had started to stop 50 metres before i had even got to the crossing to let me cross. It was different from the other countries i had been so like, England, Spain, Nederlands, and italy especially. The mountains and the views in switzerland are so amazing and you are lost breathless. They seem to have wonderful lives because it seems from the peaceful quiteness to the amazing scenary to the fresh air. I am thinking of a place to live in as an exchange student for abit but i was wondering what canada is like seeing as though it is the only country i have not been to which i would love to go to. Hi, My wife and I are travelling with 2 young kids (age 3 and 1) from USA to India through Brussels. On our way, we are having a stopover at Europe for a week. We are getting off at Brussels National Airport and going from there to Italy on Air Italia for 5 days. We are checking in 7 big suitcases and would like to store them at Brussels Airport for those 5 days as we don't need to carry them to Italy. I researched and found that there is a storage facility available for oversized baggage at Brussels Airport on Level 0. I have a few questions: 1. Do you know which pier is the oversize luggage located? Our flight from USA comes to Pier B but the flight to Italy is from Pier A. Since we are entering and leaving Brussels from Pier B, it would be great if the storage is on Pier B 2. If the storage is on Pier A, how do we get the luggages from Pier B to Pier A? Will the porters be able to help us with this? Thanks in advance. moreResolved Question: PLEASE I Need Your Help NAVY or AIR FORCE?
I've recently finished my first year of college and I've been planing to join the Navy for a while now, mainly because of the travel opportunity. I was suppose to join about 8 months ago with a friend of mine, but during that time I met this guy in my class that was in the Air Force and now I don't even know what to think... The Air Force guy told me that I should join the Navy if I wanna be stuck out at sea for six months on a ship with male only. I don't really mind being on the ship with all male, but the thoughts of staying on a ship for six months had me contemplating. He also goes on boasting that he had been to Italy and some other country. He's only 21 and have been serving for two years, but then again this guy is in the AIR FORCE so of course his opinions is bias. Is the story that the guy in the Air Force told really true? or is he BSING? My mindset is with the NAVY, but when it comes down to it... Which branch travels more? (Most important! PLEASE give me some insight on this, because I really need to get away from it all, go to as many countries as possible. The fact that I've been in school all my life and this is the only opportunity for me to get out there and see the world and at the same time "find myself") Do both branches have the same Heath and Educational benefits? So all you guys/gals PLEASE give me some pros and cons of NAVY and AIR FORCE I'll probably talk to a recruiters next week so ANY HELP from you guys is dearly appreciated. LONG but need advice, please! I moved to Italy last year for 3 months for a nanny job and it was great. I was there from OCT-JAN.I'm canadian. I missed it so much that I got a holiday working visa that was valid from APR-OCT. I've spent 4 months living off my savings and now when I return home in October, have to replenish it all. I always have a job at home cos my parents own a restaurant. But I want to return to Italy! I know I can't keep going back and forth forever but I figure if I can work half the year and vacation half the year, why not? Problem is, my folks have the place for sale and could sell any day so I know after my next 'vacation' I won't be able to go back. I'll be 27 and broke with no savings. I am only allowed back into Italy for another 3 mnths (the working visa is only valid once in a lifetime) unless I go to school. I'm actually thinking of paying 3 grand for a language course just to stay 6 months instead of 3. I could maybe find work here as a babysitter or in the open air market but I have no desire of having a desk job, and am not bilingual anyway. I make jewelry and am a 'writer'. I get articles published in magazines here and there but nothing substantial. I'm trying to get my book published but who knows how long that could take. Anyway when I buy my ticket to return to Canada it has to be return since it's actually 1/2 price, go figure. My parents are Italian so I am waiting for my Italian passport so I can travel & work throughout Europe freely but that could take up to two years! I know if I just go home and "wait" I'll get comfortable and never come back. Also, my great apt here is very cheap and the landlord said if I come back I can have it again but I told him I'd be back for a year... not for 3 months. The price I pay for a studio is what most people pay for a single room in a house with 4 other people. My options are : a) Come back for 3 months from JUNE-SEPT, and not need a visa but likely not get my cheap apt, back for such a short time. b) Come back for 6 months from JUNE-DEC, and need a student visa and pay 3 grand for classes c) Don't come back and just focus on my life in Canada... d) Go somewhere else like Australia, and have a similar 'work & travel' experience...even thought my heart & soul is in Italylol the likely hood of me marrying an Italian is ZERO. also, I HAVE to buy a return ticket to come back in june.. i so 3 months or 6 mnths is the q i guess. moreResolved Question: What is the best airline to fly to Italy?
