Air And Travel Questions asked

Open Question: Question about Air Travel and 737s?

A few questions about Air Travel and 737s: 1. Are flight attendants allowed in the flight deck during flight, or are they not allowed either? 2. At what altitude should a 737 raise it's flaps, after take off? 3. What should the vertical speed be during take off? 4. At what speed (in kts) should a 737's nose lift up to get off the runway? 5. What should a 737's flap percentage be set to during take off? I'm asking these questions because I play Flight Simulator X and I wasn't taught about 737s. more

Open Question: A little math help please!?

This problem is tricky for me. If you could show your work that would be amazing. Thanks. An executive flew in the corporate jet to a meeting in a city 1800 kilometers away. After traveling the same amount of time on the return flight, the pilot mentioned that they still had 300 kilometers to go. The air speed of the plane was 600 kilometers per hour. How fast was the wind blowing? (Assume that the wind direction was parallel to the flight path and constant all day.) ??????km/hr more

Open Question: Special Relativity question....?

Two race cars are traveling in the same direction, one in front of the other, 369 m apart, at a speed of 72.4 m/s. The driver of the car in front sounds his horn. How much time elapses before the other driver hears the horn? (The speed of sound relative to air is 340 m/s.) From my calculations, it's not 1.085 (369 m/s divided by 340 m/s).... more

Open Question: A few questions about Air Travel security policies.?

I have not been on a airplane in 12-13 years! I know about the 3 oz limit for toiletries (Shampoo/Conditioner, exc). I already bought the see through 3oz bottles. Now do I have to put them in some special size zip lock baggie? Or is it ok in my Toiletrie bag? It has see through compartments. Also can I take my curling Iron & Hair straightener with me? (Carryon luggage - to save on the fees $50 RT to check the bag). Last question, I know we can not take lighters in our carryon. What about Matches? (Yes I am a stupid smoker) Forgive my spelling please. Thanks...and any additional info on security policies would be wonderful!! more

Open Question: Ramadan: Islamically, Where are you going?

Asalamualikum Warakhamatulaih Wabarakatuhu! Bismillah! I am willing to make the mistakes if someone else is willing to learn from them. When we are leaving this world for the next one, it shall be like a trip to another country. Where details of that country won't be found in glamorous travel brochures but in the Holy Qur'aan and the Ahadiths. Where our plane won't be British Airways, Gulf Air or American Airlines but Air Janazah. Where our luggage won't be the allowed 23 kgs but our deeds no matter how heavy they weigh. You don't pay for excess luggage. They are carried free of charge. With your Creator's compliment. Where our dress won't be a Pierre Cardin suit or the like but the white cotton shroud Where our perfume won't be Chanel, Paco Rabane, but the camphor and attar. Where our passports won't be British, French or American but Al Islam Where our visa won't be the 6 months leave to stay or else but the "La illaha Illallah.." Where the airhostess won't be gorgeous females but Isra'iil and its like Where the in-flight services won't be 1st class or economy but a piece of beautifully scented or foul smelling cloth. Where our place of destination won't be Heathrow Terminal 1 or Jeddah International Terminal but the Qabarastaan. Where our waiting lounge won't be nice carpeted and air-conditioned rooms but the 6 feet deep gloomy Qabar. Where the Immigration Officer won't be Her Majesty's officers but Munkir and Nakir. They only check out whether you deserve the place you yearn to go. Where there is no need for Customs Officers or detectors. Where the transit airport will be Al Barzaakh. Where our final place of destination will be either the Garden under which rivers flow or the Hell Fire This trip does not come with a price tag. It is free of charge. So your savings would not come handy This flight can never be hijacked so do not worry about terrorists. Food won't be served on this flight so do not worry about your allergies or whether the food is Halal. Do not worry about legroom; you won't need it, as your legs will become things of the past. Do not worry about delays. This flight is always punctual. It arrives and leaves on time. Do not worry about the in-flight entertainment programme because you would have lost all your sense of joy Do not worry about booking this trip, it has already been booked the day you became a foetus in your mother's womb. Ah! Atlast good news! Do not worry about who will be sitting next to you. You will have the luxury of being the only passenger. So enjoy it while you can. If only you can! One small snag though, this trip comes with no warning. Are you prepared? Ready, Set, GO! JazakAllah khairan. Please keep me in your duas. Peace, Masalama. more

Open Question: Is this legal/ My experiences?

I'm 15 years old and usually cycle on the pavements. One day I thought I will go on the road. In the 300m of nearly straight road that I lawfully cycled on, I was within about 3 inches of 2 car mirrors and if I didn't have a very, very loud air horn on my bike i would have smashed into a car which was pulling out of an adjoining road without even looking. I blasted my air horn at the car which then slammed its brakes on . I was about 5 meters from the car and I was travelling about 20 MPH. From his open window the driver was hurling abuse at me. Although his voice was drowned out by my air horn. I could still tell that he said F$%* you by his two fingers that he stuck up at me. With his other hand he was signalling as though I should have stopped and given way to him. I pointed to the stop-sign that he sempt oblivious to. When I reached the bottom of the road at the traffic lights which were red I politely confronted the guy (who had since overtaken me very closely) about his abuse. Even though i was polite all i got back was an uncalled for "What the F*%$ do you think you are doing you stupid little T&£*" I mean come on "little" from a guy who could barely see over the steering wheel against me 5' 7" tall. When the lights went to green the guy sped off leaving me talking to the road where he was. I was so outraged by this that i got the registration number of the car and reported it to the police over the phone this was 4 months ago. I have still got no reply. After this terrifying audial I have returned to cycling on the pavements I do about 20 MPH maximum on the pavement when there is nobody else on it. As soon as I see somebody else in the distance or get near to shops then I rapidly decelerate to a mere 3.0 MPH and I always more than willingly give way to anyone else on the pavement. If I am approaching someone from behind then I do the same, but about 10 meters behind them I sound my siren. I never sound my siren when I'm any closer than 10 meters to pedestrians to avoid making them jump. I then cautiously Proceed past them thanking them as I do. If the space between the pedestrian and the road or wall is not big enough for me to pass through safely then i dismount my bike and walk past them on the edge of the road. thanking them as i do. I will continue to do this until the roads are made a lot more safer for cyclists and until I receive confirmation that my complaint has being followed up. more

Open Question: What's the name of a 90's miniseries about time travel?

Its a miniseries or a movie with quite a few sequels, i remember that it was aired in the late 90's on star movies in India and across the globe. I'll post what all i recall from the plot: The second most intelligent man of earth (in the future), travels back in time in a time traveling ship, to give/take help from a present day teenager. He gives the boy a watch that protects them during traveling in time & space. They are searching for pieces of a crystal that they don't wish for the villain to find and put together. The villain is the first most intelligent man of earth (future) and travels through time in a time traveling suit, tailing them hunting for the crystal pieces like them. In a surprise twist after many episodes its discovered that the second most intelligent man who was previously thought to be the good guy is the actual villain, and the other guy was the good guy but couldn't reach the teenager the lead of the series before the real villain. Some other details that i remember: The First most intelligent man on earth was possibly bald and an African-american. They not only travel through time but also space. (different dimensions possible too) In one of the episodes they (the time traveler with the ship, the teenager, and a girl they met up before and teamed with) go back in time when the teenager was a baby, they discover that they are invisible in that time, and they save the baby from falling and seeing the baby float (invisible teen holding him) the dad hits his hand with a hammer. I hope these details are wnough for some one out there to recognise the name of the movie/miniseries. Please respond at the earliest, Thanking you in advance. p.s. if your 101% sure and you know the answer mail me on sandy1kumar@gmail.com also. more

Open Question: Physics Problem Help!!!!?

During launches, rockets often discard unneeded parts. A certain rocket starts from rest on the launch pad and accelerates upward at a steady 3.11 m/s2. When it is 238 m above the launch pad, it discards a used fuel canister by simply disconnecting it. Once it is disconnected, the only force acting on the canister is gravity (air resistance can be ignored). How high is the rocket when the canister hits the launch pad, assuming that the rocket does not change its acceleration? What total distance did the canister travel between its release and its crash onto the launch pad? more

Open Question: what are the correct maners in this situation?

If you are on a plane and sitting next to chatty-mc-chatterson and you don't really feel like talking to him for the next 2 hours? I mean usually I am all for friendly conversation - I often end up having a brief, friendly conversation with a random stranger while going about my daily buisness. But everyone gets a little cranky during air travel (me included) and quite frankly in that situation all I want to do is curl up with my book and free peanuts. So how do I politely stop the conversation. I'm just not a good flyer and I dont like talking to others on the plane more

Open Question: Can someone tell me what daily life is like for an officer in the air force?

Im in AF ROTC and im looking to be an f-16 pilot. The problem for me is that i am very attached to new york city and I would find it tough not to be able to live there. I am looking at being based in hanscom or andrews AFB. can someone tell me how often i would be able to visit the city, or if its possible for me to live there while in the air force. If not then I would like to know how is living on base. A few things about me: I am young, have no family and do not plan to for a while, i want to travel around the world whenever i can, im not so good in sports, I grew up in the city and am used to the "urban" lifestyle and idk what kind of change it would be to suburban life. more

Open Question: What four properties are described by the cosine function of a longitudinal sound wave?

When a string vibrates, you can describe some property of a single particle of the string with a cosine function, y = Acos[(2pi/wavelength)x +- (2pi*frequency)t]. The y could represent the transverse displacement of the particle, the tension acting on it (and, therefore, its acceleration), or its speed (transverse motion). What does that same wave equation say about the motion of a single air particle as a traveling sound wave passes? What FOUR properties could the cosine function be describing for a particle in such a longitudinal wave? more

Open Question: Have you taken your small dog on a plane?

I am going to be taking a three-month work assignment in another province and of course my dog is coming with me. It will be about a 2 hour flight to get there. My dog will be 8 months old by the time we go (beginning of March) and is currently just over 8lbs. I know that I can fly Air Canada and that they do allow small pets in the cabin under your seat, so all of that is fine. She is also used to traveling in a carrier, as I have used one in the car for some time now. She does the 4-5 hour drive to my parents with no trouble whatsoever. She has not, however, ever been on a plane. I wondering how she will do all the time sitting around at the airport too. Has anyone managed to let the dog have a bathroom break before boarding? I don't want to break any rules, and they say the dog has to be in the carrier the whole time... So... if you have ever traveled with a small dog in the cabin, I would love to hear how you managed it and how the dog did. Thanks! more

Resolved Question: Does Joe Jackson Deserve Some Of Micheal Jackson Money?

Michael Jackson's estate does not want to give Joe Jackson, the late singer's father, a monthly allowance, reports AP, because it would take money away from the singer's young children. Attorneys for estate administrators John Branca and John McClain filed papers yesterday opposing Joe Jackson's efforts to get more than $15,000 a month from his son's estate. The filing states that Joe Jackson has failed to show that Michael supported him while he was alive. And Michael Jackson did not want his dad to be a beneficiary under the will. Also, according to estate lawyers, the so-called "maintenance expenses" Joe wants include vacations, air travel, hotels, assistants and legal fees. more

These convoys supplied Britain with bullets, food, and other necessities. Without protection from the air the convoys would be taken out by the German air force. The Royal Canadian Air Force protected the convoys from both sides of the Atlantic. “It now provided air support to the Newfoundland Escort Force. In the eastern Atlantic the convoys were guarded by the RAF Coastal Command which included RCAF squadrons.” (Giesler, 6) The air force was also used to search for enemy planes and ships in which could inflict damage to the convoys. “The RCAF, with eight maritime patrol squadrons and 78 aircraft on the Atlantic seaboard, carried out increased air surveillance of the Northwest Atlantic.” (Giesler, 7) As the battle of Britain was going on, the British were running out of men and planes. “In 1940, as hundreds of Nazi bombers ravaged Britain, the RAF had only limited aircraft with which to fight back.” (Giesler, 40) Canada was able to supply Britain with pilots and planes from the Royal Canadian Air Force. “However during the winter 1940-41, the RAF bomber force was reinforced with young fliers from the air-training schools of Canada and by new aircraft from British and Canadian factories.” (Giesler, 40) This was made possible because of the British Commonwealth Air-Training Plan. This plan was put in place in December 1939 to provide training facilities for pilots from all parts of Commenwealth. “68 RCAF aircraft took part in the first 1000-bomber raid, and by the end of the war Canadian squadrons were sending out more than 200 heavy bombers in single raids carrying 900 tons of bombs.” (Giesler, 41) These were some of the many ways that the Royal Canadian Air Force helped Britain achieve victory in the war. Canada’s Merchant Navy played a major role in helping Britain defeat Germany in the Second World War. During World War Two Canada supplied Britain with huge amounts of goods of which were necessary for the war effort. These goods included such items as: food, bullets, tanks, weapons, and clothing. (http://www.vac-acc.gc.ca/remembers/sub.cfm?source=history/other/merchant/hist) These items were brought over by convoys of merchant ships coming from North America. “More than 25,000 merchant ship voyages from North America to Britain were made during the war”. (http://www.vac-acc.gc.ca/remembers/sub.cfm?source=history/other/merchant/hist) Without these ships, the troops in Europe would not have had enough supplies to fight the war with. “At the end of the war, Rear admiral Leonard Murray, Commander-in-Chief, Canadian North Atlantic, said ‘the Battle of the Atlantic was not won by any Navy or Air Force, it was won by the courage, fortitude and determination of the British and Allied Merchant Navy.’” (http://www.vac-acc.gc.ca/remembers/sub.cfm?source=history/other/merchant/hist) By the end of the war Canada’s production of the ships had shot up compared to the amount they had before the war. “When the war began, Canada had 38 ocean-going merchant vessels; by war’s end, more than 400 cargo ships had been built in Canada.” (http://www.vac-acc.gc.ca/remembers/sub.cfm?source=history/other/merchant/hist) Canada also played a major role in protecting the convoys from the German U-boats as they crossed the Atlantic. The Merchant ships traveled in these convoys for extra protection because the loss of ships increased dramatically throughout the war. “... convoys were formed to regulate ship movements and more effectively provide escorts both by sea and air.” (Giesler, 5) Protecting these convoys was one of Canada’s biggest roles in the war. “It was in maintaining the Atlantic lifeline through convoy protection that Canadian seamen and airmen played an increasingly vital role.” (Giesler, 5) Canada’s merchant navy, the Royal Canadian Navy and Canada’s ship building industry all played a major role in supplying the British with supplies throughout the war. Without their effort, the British would have had a hard time winning the war. ThThe Canadian ground troops also contributed to the war effort. Liberation of France and Defeat of Italy were some of the major roles Canadian troops played in winning the war. D-Day was one of the very major battles that Canada fought in World War Two. Thousands of people from Canada, Britain, and the U.S were brought in for this battle. It was essential for this battle to go right. “More than 150,000 US, British, and Canadian soldiers were ferried across the English Channel to establish five beachheads (shorelines captured from the enemy).” (Adams, 54) There were five different beaches that had to be taken from the Germans in order for the plan to succeed. Canada occupied Juno beach, the beach that was most occupied by the S.S. German troops. As the Canadian’s hit the beach they were instantly hit with German bullets. “The Canadians were hit with heavy gunfire from German regiments occupying the seafront homes along the beach.” (Tanaka, 40) Canada was very successful on D-Day and madegreat distance into France after liberating the town of Juno. “… one troop of Canadians from Ontario’s 1st Hussars had pushed further inland than any other Allied unit.” (Brewster, 26) more

Open Question: Traveling by air affects when TTC?

Hi All, I have heard that the traveling by plain during TTC affects the chances. Is it true? My due date is on 29th Jan and the same day I am traveling. My another question is having sex before 2 or 3 days of due date is safe? Or this affects baby if I am preg. Thanks for the response. more

Open Question: Algebra: Solving using Equations?

I'm trying to make sure that my answer is correct. I know how to figure out the speed the plane was flying going toward and against the wind. I'm not sure if my calculation is right when the wind is still. If you could please write it out for me I'd appreciate it. I chose C as my answer. When an airplane travels with the wind, it travels 1200 miles in 5 hours. Against the wind, it takes 6 hours to cover the same distance. Find the speed of the airplane in still air and the speed of the wind. a. speed of airplane is 240 mph, speed of wind is 20 mph b. speed of airplane is 220 mph, speed of wind is 20 mph c. speed of airplane is 220 mph, speed of wind is 40 pmh d. speed of airplane is 240 mph, speed of wind is 40 mph ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This question I just guest that the answer was 16. A company has two molds to form tires. One mold has a setup cost of $1300 and the cost to make each tire is $17. The second mold has a setup cost of $1800 and the cost to make each tire is $15. Determine the number of tires produced when the costs are equal.Jenna: you have your question section set to private so I can't see what you need help on. ------------- Mr. T :) I clearly didn't read the question right at all. I wasn't thinking about the number of tires. In my mind I was thinking about calculating the coast per tire. Thank you for the responding so late at night. more

Resolved Question: Mini Horse Questions?

I was thinking about getting a Miniature horse.(I already have a lot of horse experience) I have done a lot of reading about them, but I still have some questions. First can they go in a pasture with normal size ponies(don't worry I would have proper fencing)? I have seen people put them in with normal horses, but again unsure. 2. Food do you normally feed like 1 or 1/2 flakes per day ,how much do they get? 3. Blanketing even if they are not clipped because they are so small and low and air flow affects them more do they need blankets in the winter?4. How do they travel. If you would like to add any thing else feel free.:) don't worry I am not going to treat the horse like a dog I was planning on training to drive and maybe tricks. thanks sorry this was so long more

Open Question: Periodic Waves Physics Problem! HELP!?

This is NON-calculus based physics! Please help me figure out how to solve this problem! The speed of sound in air at room temperature is 340 m/s. (a) what is the frequency of a sound wave in air with wavelength 1.0 m? (b) What is the frequency of a radio wave with the same wavelength? Open Question: Dream interpretation please?

Hello! I've had some pretty weird dreams in my life but only a few have stuck with me, and that's why I'm here. Okay, my first dream is one that sort of made me depressed even though it isn't all that bad. I'm walking down a flat street and I notice my footsteps are very light and airy. I begin to leap through the air and It's like I'm an astronaut on the moon, jumping slowly into the air and then coming back down. I was having a grand time but soon my steps grew heavier and I couldn't "float" through the air anymore. I began to run and jump as high as I could but I couldn't manage to float anymore. I began to cry but I woke up after that. It was so real I even went out and jumped to see if anything happened! Ok, if that dream doesn't make any sense I understand ;D Well, here's another... It's a perfectly normal day and I am with my sister in our house. Suddenly we feel ourselves shaking uncontrollably and our house is torn practically in two. For some reason we don't freak out and simply climb unto our neighbors house to see what happened. Every ones house was somewhat shattered and in weird shapes and colors. Then we noticed jagged lines tracing the ground and the whole of San Francisco in disarray (we live in SF). Buildings are moved miles apart and the Bay bridge is in a totally new location. Mountains are formed on the horizon and the landscape is totally different. Since I do live in an earthquake prone area, could this just be my imagination thinking how a really destructive earthquake looks like? Lastly, I have a dream of myself pleading for me and my family to be taken away from Earth. A meteor has hit the Earth and everyone is trying to escape. There is one person who has a way to travel to different planets where we can start anew and he is telling me and my family there is no room. I plead and scream at him while my family waits in silence. He finally agrees just as the ground beneath our feet begins to part to show a bunch of lava come out. We board the ship and watch Earth from a window as it dies and the last thing I see is my own reflection and a world that is not Earth but another planet, waiting for us to start a new life on it. Well, That's all for now :) Thanks for replying, Carie more

Open Question: Should DGUSA get a TV Deal? +SPW Nitro Results part 4?

With FAbain bent over, Psycho Dude bends over and grabs him in a gutwrench hold -- then flips him over onto his back with a gordbuster. The moment the two hit the mat, Pscyho Dude locks in a dragon sleeper on Fabian as he gets back onto his feet behind Fabian to really crank on his neck. Fabian’s relative freshness allows him to bridge his back, and gets himself back on his feet although still held in the dragon sleeper. He applies more pressure as FAbians's legs try walking him towards the ropes. The two men end up near one of the corners as the referee steps in and checks on Fabian, who refuses to even acknowledge him. Fabian is able to place his right foot on the middle turnbuckle, and uses it to boost himself up and plant his left foot on the top turnbuckle. He tries to backflip over Pscyho Dude to break the hold, but somehow he is swung into a standing firemans carry position over Psycho Dude's shoulders. Psycho Dude swings Fabian off of his shoulders, and brings him down to the canvas with a hold on his head -- executing a falling cutter, and driving FAbian’s face right into the canvas. Psycho Dude holds his back is a bit of pain, while Fabian cups his hands over his face. The crowd is going absolutely bezerk at this time, eagerly awaiting both men to return to their feet.Psycho Dude perks himself up on the point of his left elbow, glancing over at Fabian who has rolled onto his back and now has a hold of the bottom rope with his right hand. He curls his legs up towards his chest and rolls over onto his knees, briefly turning his back to Fabian as he gets to all fours. Meanwhile Fabian grabs a hold of the second rope with his other hand and uses it to pull himself up to a seated position, leaning against the bottom rope with his back. He watches Psycho Dude stagger up to his feet, and doesn't move an inch in the way of getting back up -- instead choosing to wait for Psycho Dude to approach him. He turns and heads to Fabian, only to receive a hard boot to the gut once he gets back within striking distance. Fabian uses the ropes to add extra force into his kicks, as a second finds it's mark as well. The shots gas Psycho Dude a bit, forcing him to back up and therefore letting Fabian return to his feet at his own pace. He swings up onto the soles of his boots with an assist from the ropes, and immediately steps forward while throwing a wide right hook. The swing connects right behind Psycho Dude's left ear, knocking him to his right as he loses his sense of balance. While his equilibrium resets itself, Fabain watches and waits for Psycho Dude to square his shoulders to him once more -- with Psycho Dude's stagger putting a good amount of distance between the two. When he finally stumbles around, FAbian is already in a full sprint heading right at him -- but Pscyho Dude is prepared. As the two bump chests, Psycho Dude under hooks both of Fabian's arms and tosses him over his head with a release belly to belly suplex that sends Fabian crashing down onto his tailbone. The shock of impact travels throughout his body and keeps him immobilized while PSycho Dude just now gets his second wind. With his adrenaline kicking full bore, Psycho Dude approaches the seated FAbian Phenom and drags him to his feet with a hold around his neck. As he brings Fabian up he bends him forward and hooks him up in a front face lock, followed by hooking his right arm over his head. Instead of suplexing him right out of the hold, Psycho Dude reaches down with his left arm and hooks Fabian’s right leg at the knee -- then furiously swings him straight into the air. He falls to his back and drops Fabian right on his head with a fisherman’s buster, with Psycho Dude keeping Fabian’s leg hooked as he rolls over his chest. The referee dives into position and makes the count. 1... 2... kickout by Fabian. Psycho Dude gets up to his knees and makes a throat cutting gesture, giving Fabiain no time to recover as he scoops his head from the canvas and begins aiding him back to his feet. He tucks Fabian’s head between his legs and bends himself forward to secure a hold around Fabian’s abdomen.Just as he tries to lift him up, Psycho Dude's adrenaline burst runs out and the pain returns to his lower back. He is forced to a knee while Fabian collapses to all fours, with both men taking time to nurse their wounds. They both seem to be at the same pace in returning to their feet, while they both have put a bit more distance between them. more

Open Question: whats your honest opinion?

about my story? I Looked up, and there stood a girl staring back. Emotions played deep within her irises; Sadness, loneliness, rejection. Her chapped, thin lips curved downward at the corners. Her eyes were dark blue; the dullest eyes I had ever seen, they did not sparkle like other girls did, they did not stand out. Her lashes were the thinnest and shortest lashes I had ever gazed upon. Small red pimples covered areas on her tanned face; this girl definitely suffered from acne. Her brown hair was thick, bushy, and frizzy. It had no shine to it at all; it was the driest dullest hair I had ever seen. This was harsh; but this girl was ugly. Nothing about her was beautiful. If you passed her on a street, you would not look twice. You would probably scrunch your face up at the sight of her. "Jazmin.. Why are you staring at yourself in the mirror? Someone’s getting a bit vain, aren’t they?" I turned to notice my friend Denise walking out the toilet cubicle. She had dark blonde hair that sat in a neat ponytail; Held up by a blue silky ribbon. Grey square shaped glasses sat on the end of her pointed nose, her thin lips were light pink, and her skin was clear; quite pale. I shrugged my shoulders; this made her green sparkling eyes roll all the way around. She wasn't exactly beautiful, but she wasn't ugly; not like me. I turned to look in the mirror again. My face scrunched into a scowl. I couldn't stand looking at myself, but I had a theory; maybe if I stared at it for a long period of time it would disappear? I would look and suddenly the beastly face staring back would be different; Beautiful. "You look fine!" Denise said staring at me, washing her hands; her voice came strict. My face scrunched up even more. I shook my head slowly. "Honestly.." I slowly tilted my head to look at her, she was smiling, her smile was warm; convincing. I swallowed the lump that had built up in the back of my throat and smiled weakly. "I'll take your word for it." I said. My voice sounded quiet, weak, sad. Once Denise had dried her hands, we walked out of the toilets and into the crowded corridors of the school. I walked fast, avoiding everybody; Dodging and ducking. I walked around people; avoiding being crushed, tripped up, pushed, hit. Just when I thought I was safe, I looked back to see if Denise was safe too and WHAM. My head hit there shoulder; sending a splitting pain right through my head, it felt like my skull had just cracked open. My body went tumbling to the floor. The school corridor floor got closer as gravity pulled me down. I put my hands in front of me and landed on them, causing my fingers to bend backwards and making a large cracking sound; it was so loud that I could hear it amongst all the laughing, talking and shuffling around. I straightened out my hands and pushed my body up so I was sitting on my knees. I turned to look above me. It was the jock of the school, with his gang. He was the most popular, cute, sporty, boy in the whole school. I couldn't argue with the cute part; with his brown spiked hair, his green deep eyes, his charming smile, his soft skin, his perfectly built muscular body. I'm sure I was drooling; I quickly lifted up my hand and wiped the side of my mouth with my sleeve, just in case... "Watch where your going, loser." he said, his voice was calm but it hurt. I felt a shooting pain go through my chest. I swallowed the lump in the back of my throat. I felt a flush of heat travel to my face; I must have been going red. I don't know why it hurt so much, he always insulted me, everyday. He always said something hurtful to me. He was a dickhead, a bully. He scoffed to himself, and walked away. The crowds of people moved out the way to create a path for him and his boys. People walking past, laughed and pointed at me as I sat in the middle of the corridor on my knees. "Freak!" "What the hell is she doing" "Oh that’s that geek from maths class" All these words hurt so very much, they sent pains shooting through my chest. My heart ached. Why wasn't I accepted? I was a nice girl! Why did they judge me because I was so ugly! They were all judging a book by its hideous cover! I couldn't take it anymore. Warm tears slid out my eyes and rolled down my cheeks. More people laughed. More hurtful words were said. I wasn't making things any better by crying! I felt angry at myself. Angry at people, for making me feel this way. I clenched my fists into balls, jumped onto my feet, and ran. Not avoiding people this time though, slamming into them instead; pushing them out the way. I heard mutters and shouting but I ignored them, I had to get out of here, I was done with life. It was over. I put my hands in front of me as I saw the school doors getting closer, I ran faster and slammed into the door, swinging it open. I ran out and breathed in the cold air hitting my face; it took my breath away and my breathing became uneven. I breathed heavily, and ran faster and faster t more

Open Question: Need help on implementation of this IEEE papers?

Hi All I have selected a project titled "Mobile Device Security Using Ttransient Authentication" for my ME final year project. Please see the Abstract of the project below:- Abstract—Mobile devices are vulnerable to theft and loss due to their small size and the characteristics of their common usage environment. Since they allow users to work while away from their desk, they are most useful in public locations and while traveling. Unfortunately, this is also where they are most at risk. Existing schemes for securing data either do not protect the device after it is stolen or require bothersome authentication. Transient Authentication lifts the burden of authentication from the user by use of a wearable token that constantly attests to the user’s presence. When the user departs, the token and device lose contact and the device secures itself. We show how to leverage this authentication framework to secure all the memory and storage locations on a device into which secrets may creep. Our evaluation shows this is done without inconveniencing the user, while imposing a minimal performance overhead. I am not able to figure out the starting point of this project. I have lot of questions like where would I find the small wearable device ,If i found it how would I program it , How to facilitate communication between these two devices over the air, Is there any software simulator available for this ? Basically , I am looking for some details which helps me to start the implementation of the paper.
